Our family of five enjoyed a a very pleasant and relaxing week at The Grove. With great views of the valley below, the accommodation is well presented and spacious. The local area is very beautiful and is just a short drive away from the lovely cities of Bath, Wells and Bristol.

Eight of us spent a weekend at the Grove to attend a wedding nearby and we couldn't have found better accommodation. The house had everything you could expect-well equipped kitchen/diner, spacious lounge, comfy beds and two bathrooms with great showers. We have been away for an extended family weekend each year in the past 5 and this accommodation rates as the best. Generous welcome pack on arrival (not just a bottle of plonk), well equipped kitchen opening on to a huge lounge/living area (lighting could be improved) and two bedrooms up and two down gave us all private space. Downstairs, the very large master bedroom has its own walk in wardrobe, whilst a further large double on this floor is furnished with twin single beds. All bedrooms are furnished in simple, chic style. The family bathroom has a large walk in shower plus bath and WC. Upstairs there is a shower room with WC. The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances including dishwasher and washing machine. Central heating at The Grove is automatically controlled via thermostats so the temperature is constantly monitored to ensure comfort. Throughout, the house is furnished with pieces of our own furniture - beautiful wooden beds from France with bespoke new mattresses make for a good nights sleep. About the neighbourhood
Wells has a market day on Wednesday and Saturday and outstanding music can often be heard both in the cathedral and the associated music buildings around it. Glastonbury festival takes place at the end of June. Bath has a well-known series of literary festivals throughout the year. Just ten minutes from The Grove are the caves at Cheddar and Wookey Hole - with Cheddar also offering excelling rock-climbing. About 30 minutes away you can find either Longleat towards Warminster, or heading south, you can visit the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton with its air craft carrier exhibition and Concorde. Bath is a fantastic day out and Bristol has award-winning museums like the SS Great Britain. Even the Harptree villages hold an annual festival in September of music and dance for all the family.
