Terra Nova a luxurious seafront 4 bedroom villa situeated in the gated community of Mammee Bay with 24 hour security.The villa is fully staffed with Housekeeper, Cook, laundress and Gardner. All bedrooms have AC and ceiling fans. The property has a beautiful 41'x17' fresh water pool next to the ocean.Ocean Swimming is 3 minutes walk away at private Mammee Bay Beach Club The sitting/dining room open up to a large porch with a full view of the Caribbean Sea.

Paradise!!
Paul hosted us at Terra Nova back in July and it was a dream. First off, the villa is stunning!! We stayed for 5 days, the staff was amazing and the chef made food so delicious we asked for seconds and thirds. It was an amazing stay and it’s officially our summer vacation destination. I recommend a hundred times over. Paul is amazing and so is this home❣️!!

Not as expected
I’ll start with the pros. The chef was amazing!!! Chef Aaron acted as the house manager and made our trip. I can’t express my gratitude for him. He went above and beyond his duties to endure we enjoyed our trip. The food was amazing!!! I suggest letting him be creative because he truly is. His personality is great as well. The other pro is the house is big and the rooms are spacious. The grounds are well manicured as well and I felt safe at the villa. The villa is in a gated community which offered another layer of protection. The villa was close to a lot of attractions and the beach on property is really nice. It’s about a 5-8mins walk to the beach and you’ll need a beach card to get a chair. The beach club was enjoyable. We were really thankful for the transportation Paul set up. Asha was professional and on time! Now for the negatives. I really hate I have to leave this review but transparency means a lot to me so here goes. I would not stay at this villa again. The house needs maintenance. A coat of paint can go a long way along with other little repairs. This wasn’t my biggest issue but things did happen as a result of maintenance. The bedroom on the same side of the double beds room shower was stopped up upon arrival. We informed Paul and he came to repair. The last day there was heavy rain and that same room flooded. That caused a major inconvenience and my guest had to sleep in the master room with me. Thankfully her suitcase was not on the floor because the flood was bad. Secondly, the housekeeper was horrible! I hope she is pregnant because I refuse to believe someone can be as lazy as she was. Every night dishes were left in the sink. I’m surprised there are no roaches but thankfully we didn’t see any. The house has so much accumulated dust it’s ridiculous. The only thing she did was change the sheets daily. We had to ask for additional towels. It would be nice if she changed the towels. She did change my trash liner once during my four night stay. I became so frustrated that I messaged Paul and asked him where the broom is. He addressed the issue with the housekeeper and while he was at the house she started dusting blinds. Once he left, she went back to her normal self of staying cooped in the maid quarters. She cleaned like a teenager or worse. One day she wiped the table after eating and rice was still on the table. I was just so happy she actually wiped the table I didn’t even complain. Many nights I woke up and the table hadn’t been touched. Mind you we ate early every night and were in bed by 10pm. I did catch the groundskeeper driving our alcohol but I didn’t say anything. If he asked, I would have let him have some. Sneaking didn’t sit well with me but again I let it go. Lastly, we believe a mosquito nest is in the bedrooms with the double bed and the room that flooded. I feel so bad because my guest were ate up. They still have scars two weeks later. Another issue is we didn’t use the pool at all during our stay. The main reason is because the water was too cold but the other reason is because the pool was dirty with sand. Randomly Chef Aaron asked why we weren’t using the pool and we told him. The next day the groundskeeper vacuumed the pool. It was nice that Aaron inquired and then resolved the issue. That’s another incident of him going above and beyond and acting as the house manager. Aaron also cleaned and mopped the flooded room - along with moving the guest belongings to the upstairs bedroom.

Dear 404Jenn404 Atlanta, Georgia Thank you for your review and acknowledging some positive elements of your stay with us. We would like to advise that having received your complaint and investigated the matter immediately, we did relieve the housekeeper of her duties. We have prided ourselves on delivering a high standard of service that our guest are accustomed to and this was in no way reflected in her actions during your stay. Our staff normally enjoy very good relations with our guests and on that basis, and apparently unknown to you, the groundskeeper who has worked at the property for decades without complaint, accepted an offer for a beverage from your mother. He did not take it without asking. As a result, we will revise our policy to regarding the acceptance of gifts from guest. This will ensure we avoid any such misunderstandings going forward. We would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience experienced due to the flooding. As we indicated on the day in question there was a thunderstorm with heavy rainfall which blew debris into the courtyard which caused the drainpipe to become blocked. Although it was cleared that night and the flood water mopped, we apologize again as your guest would have had to face a wet room. It is regrettable regarding the mosquitoes bites however we can assure you that there are no nests of mosquitoes. One is hard pressed to find a location on the island that does not have mosquitoes present and so we provide as much repellant as we can and urge that the house be locked at night. Every review provides an opportunity to build on our strengths and improve on our areas of weakness and so we will continue to work to provide our guests with the best possible experience. Villa nova, ocho rios
My family and I stayed at Terra Nova Villa for Christmas 2021 through New Years 2022 and it was one of our best vacation ever! The view was absolutely picturesque to wake up to during our stay. The staff was phenomenal. Starting with the chefs Aaron that made meals that was tasty and surprised us with every meal. The grounds man/butler Denzil was outstanding and provided knowledge of the property and of Jamaica in general. Our personal security guard was there on time every evening and we felt very safe during our stay. Last but not least our house keeper Shallonie kept the villa clean and in tip top shape. We were all pleased with the how attentive she was at all times. They all had great personalities. My family and I were all very pleased and I definitely be back to visit in the future.

Very comfortable!
I stayed at the villa with my family to have a secluded vacation amidst the Covid Pandemic. The rooms are very spacious and immaculately maintained, the beds were very comfortable. The master bedroom has a balcony that overlooks the grounds with a view of the sea. The chef and room attendant were perfect! Tamika is very down to earth and readily went over and beyond to make sure we were very comfortable. She made such a mark on me and my family that we exchanged numbers before I left. Eleise was soft spoken, pleasant and kept our room in tip top shape. The pool was by far my favourite part of the property. The water was warm and the lights gave a romantic glow in the nights. My family and I spent a lot of time in that pool. The villa is located within five minutes of all the major shopping areas attractions such as Dolphin Cove, Dunns River and Mystic Mountain The only critique I have is that I believe the entrance to the property needs some updating but once you are inside, you will forget about that. I will definitely be returning to this villa as soon as I can.

Amazing
Terra Nova, Mammee Bay Ocho Rios Jamaica was amazing. We were looking for a weekend get away with friends and we got an amazing relaxing weekend. Upon arrival a group was met at the door and greeted by the fabulous staff who attended to our needs for the time we were there. The morning view is Perfect for coffee and Yoga or just to take in Nature Beauty. The grounds are well kept and the rooms are cozy. Definitely plan on returning. Thank you Terra Nova for an amazing weekend

Fabulous Vacation
My sister in-law, her daughter, two friends and 3 of my friends Vacationed at Terra Nova Villa For 6 days. It was by far one of the best vacations that we've ever had! The accommodations were beautiful and luxurious. We loved the tropical decor! We were pampered and catered to by Paul Jackie and Pinky. Ms Jackie's home cooking will be greatly missed! This villa was very close to the beach where we got to have lunch,drinks and listen to music. We even did a little bit of dancing to a live band . Not to mention our various shopping trips to Ocho Rios! The villa was close to all the major attractions and Paul dutifully provided us with daily transportation. I'm ready to go back today!

Simply amazing. Best vacation!
This is a well appointed villa, close to many attractions. The kids loved having access to the pool right in the back yard. The adults woke up early just to watch the amazing sunrise, which could be seen from 3 of the 4 bedrooms or the patio. We spent many afternoons taking the short walk to the beach in the gated community. Paul is a superb host! The staff was great, the chef made delectable meals, while the rooms and pool were always pristine. We had 3 generations staying at the villa and everyone was sad to leave. We will definitely be back.
