Whether you want to surf, swim, walk, climb or just relax in the peace of this beautiful headland house drinking in the far reaching views, time spent at 'Awelon' will recharge the batteries. The house has just been refurbished to the highest standard and has plenty of space for everyone (10-12 people plus 2 cots) to do their own thing. The coves and beaches all around the house are there to be explored, and the fishing village of Aberdaron and the more buzzy harbour at Abersoch are all minutes away by car, and yet the tiny hamlet of Rhiw provides the sort of silence and tranquillity that is so rare. Dogs welcome by arrangement. 2 dogs free and an additional £10 per week for more. It is illegal in the UK for anyone to smoke in the house, but there is a covered Verandah at the front for smokers. Hot tub is filled with fresh water each week and filter changed twice a week. Chlorine levels checked during the week. Additional chemicals left for dosing if needed.

A wonderful home for a Family get-together...

An ideal house for a family with young children. It is very tastefully furnished, kitchen very well equipped with everything needed, and the situation is in a beautiful setting. The view is stunning, surrounded by mountains, overlooking the four mile stretch of Hell's Mouth Bay....More

Fabulous family time memories made in idyllic surroundings, ideal place to bring your family together

About the neighbourhood
Mid way between ABERSOCH and ABERDARON overlooking premier surfing beach of North Wales. Surfing competitions, fishing, walking, swimming,wake boarding sailing, beach combing, all available in idyllic surroundings. The Whitewashed fishing villages of Aberdaron (4 miles) and the busy and buzzy Abersoch (6 miles) plus the market town of Pwllheli (17 miles) all provide a variety of family days out. Also trips to Bardsey Island and its retreat Monastery and chance of dolphin views on the way, the manor house (National Trust) of Plas-yn-Rhiw, the Italianate Port Merion (where the filming of 'The Prisoner' took place) add to the appeal of Awelon. Many walks available direct from the house with out needing to get in the car.
Getting around
There is daily bus that does a loop from the village to Pwllheli calling at the villages on the way at 11am and returning at 4pm. There is a mainline station in Pwllheli that goes through central Wales, and an intercity line at Bangor (1 hours drive). There is also a walkers bus that allows folk to do part of the 'Edge of Wales Walk' (that now stretches from Cornwall to Scotland) and get back home if timed correctly tho at present this only runs in the summer. Cycle hire is available in Aberdaron.
