BREDON cottage is nestled in the beautiful mountains of HOGSBACK in the Eastern Cape . It is a newly renovated stoned cottage with magnificent views and boasts its own mountain fed pool . It is situated on a large , secure premises offering plenty of privacy and beauty. A perfect destination to make your stay extra special. <BR>The cottage has a wood burning fire in the lounge and the kitchen/ dining room. A king size bed in the main bedroom and 2 single beds in the second bedroom. Heaven on Earth
When we saw Bredon Cottage a year ago we knew we had to come back and stay here. We were not disappointed! Sandy and Rob have created such a comfortable home situated in the Garden of Eden. Absolute peace and tranquility and a garden and views that are beyond description.... It is the most beautiful place I have ever been to and it was such a pleasure to share the experience with my parents. They were blown away by all the special touches from Sandy.
It is lovely to be "close" to "town" but absolutely away from everyone and everything, the location is just perfect!

Wonderful stay
If you are looking for comfort, privacy and warmth in a setting which enhances the natural beauty and charm of Hogsback then Bredon Cottage is the place for you. The kitchen is well equipped, the lounge roomy and comfortable (my daughter says I must mention the large comfy couch and soft blankets) with a large fireplace and plenty of wood and the verandah has one of the best views in Hogsback. Lovely gardens to explore, beautiful flowers, trees and birds. The owners go the extra mile to exceed all expectations.

Peaceful and beautiful
Our stay was wonderful, the gardens were lovely to walk through. A really comfortable home with huge lounge, patio and braai area. I couldn't ask for more.

I loved the privacy. Nature all around, walking trails. Close to all the attractions Hogsback has to offer. I could walk to the labyrinth, if I wanted. Lovely host. Worth every cent.

Heavenly Haven in Hogsback
Arriving at Bredon Cottage preapares you for the beauty, down the verdant country road. This immaculate small thatched house envelopes you with the owners love, shown in her attention to detail. Lamps alight, welcome chocolates on your pristine white bedding and everything in place that you could think of needing. The views are of peace on earth. Take a break, go & refresh your soul.

A must stay in Hogsback
A beautiful, well situated and beautifully appointed cottage.
Sandy is a gracious and welcoming hostess.
I would definitely stay there again.
The pictures you see in their website are an accurate reflection of the accommodation.

Upmarket elegant accommodation, superbly decoration
Everything is perfectly modern style with great taste decorated, wonderful equipped kitchen, cosy salon, excellent fireplaces, one bedroom a bit small but the other one comfortable. I wish we could have spent more time in this most amazing cottage, incredible garden with the most impressive trees and water falls. An experience not to be missed.

Fantastic cottage
This is one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed at. Everything’s been done to a really high standard and the location is hard to beat. The hosts have pretty much thought of everything (the hosts are really helpful but also leave you alone). My only regret was that it was too cold to enjoy the amazing pool (I lasted 30 seconds)!!

Beautifully equipped old stone cottage in the woods
With 2 double bedrooms and costing R 2200 per night, this self catering, thatched, old stone cottage, perched on the edge of the Hogsback plateau should be good, and it is. Set in the lush gardens of owners Sandy and Rob Wicks, with fresh water infinity pool below, the view from the tiered terrace is breath-taking. This beautiful old house has been thoughtfully decorated and furnished, although the kitchen is a bit basic with no working grill or oven, although there is a splendid brai in the garden and several restaurants in nearby Hogsback Village. The house feels as if it is miles from anywhere with a garden of sun birds and the occassional flitting Knysna lourie, acrobatic samango monkeys, and lurking baboons. However, there is a not unattractive aroma of damp thatch and missing are a clothes line or clothes horse, ironing board or iron. Small things, admittedly, in this luxury getaway pad.
