The kitchen is fully equipped. It has a full sized electric fan oven with electric hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, cafetiere and stove top coffee maker. There is ample crockery, glasses and kitchen utensils.
Patio doors lead on to the balcony and up to private roof terrace. The balcony and roof terrace have lighting, table, chairs and parasols. There are also sun loungers and barbecue on the roof terrace.
There are 2 bedrooms sleeping a total of 5 people plus a baby under 2 years.
The main bedroom has a king size bed (160 x 200) and the second bedroom has 3 single beds. Both bedrooms have built-in wardrobes and there is a safe in the main bedroom. A travel cot is also available.
There is an allocated parking space available for 1 car.
Our guests also have use of the unheated communal pool with separate children's pool and sun loungers at the poolside.
During the months of December, January and February electricity will be charged in addition and based on meter readings taken on arrival and departure. This will be payable to our Property Manager in cash before you leave.
Guests are welcome to use the log fire but will have to purchase their own logs and firelighters. These are available from various local supermarkets.

Lovely apartment and roof terrace - but it was quite noisy from the traffic on the road outside. There was lots of information about the surrounding area - which was great.

Very quiet flat with everything you need !
We spent a full week holidays in this nice flat near the very famous BENAGIL CAVES. The flat is nicely decorated. There is everything you need. From a balcony and the terrasse (on the roof), you can see the ocean.
Outside, there are lot af flowers along the different flats. The BENAGIL beach is less than five minutes by foot from the flat. If you don't want to go the beach, it's possible to go to the private and clean swimming pool.
We did enjoy our holidays and recommand.

We spent 15 days in this appartement with our 2 children... we enjoyed a lot! Everything was perfect : localisation, home equipment, swimming pool... juste 2 minutes from the ocean! Jane and Ian are kind and lovely host. Quick answering and all the details for a great stay!

About the neighbourhood
Benagil has a selection of restaurants all within walking distance of our apartment, but no local shop. The nearest shops and supermarkets are just a 10 minute drive away in Lagoa, hence a hire car is recommended.
The world famous Benagil Sea Caves are only a short boat trip from the sheltered Benagil beach which is a 5 minute walk from the apartment.
Within a short drive there is the lively resort of Carvoerio with its many restaurants, the port of Portimao and the town of Lagoa, the traditional wine producing centre of the Algarve.
In the summer months Benagil beach is popular with visitors but you cannot hire sun loungers or parasols. There is a beach cafe which also serves snacks, drinks, ice creams and meals.
Getting around
Benagil is a small Portuguese village on the Atlantic coast in the municipality of Lagoa. Up to late 20th Century, the village’s economy was based on fishing. Now it is a tourist area with a great beach. It is situated on the cliff tops either side of a small ravine which leads to its beautiful beach and is 5kms east of Carvoeiro and 8kms south of Lagoa in the Western Algarve.
Benagil still retains its village status with only a twice daily bus service into Lagoa therefore a hire car is recommended.
Quiet and tranquil, it is an idyllic place to start exploring the unspoilt coastline with its beautiful cliff top walks. The village still retains much of its old rural charm as it is well away from the larger holiday resorts.
