My wife, 9year old son, dog and I stayed at the largest of the two gîtes at Les Cerisiers in Lezay, France. It was the first time in the Poitou-Charente region for us. We booked the gîte through their website because of the large enclosed garden where our dog could roam free. A large , unheated, above ground swimming pool was also present but the water was too cold to enjoy daily. The owners had installed a solar heater but the weather wasn't up to the usual high standard to sufficiently heat the pool.
The gîte has an abundance of space, as a matter of fact, it was way too large for just us three. There is a bedroom on the ground floor and two other double rooms upstairs where there is also ample space to run around and play.
Everything is made espacially easy for the disabled. Wheelchair access to the wetroom, big door openings and there is even a wheelchair available.
I can understand that maintaining such a big place isn't easy but there where some niggles that I have...
