In the summertime, Oz en Oisans and Alpe D'Huez becomes a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts and hosts a number of famous events including; The tour de France, La Marmotte, Alpe D'HuZes, Megavalanche & EDF Triathlon.

Close to ski lift, great for kids and adults who want great food and a place to relax
It took 2 mins to walk to the ski lift and a little bit further (5mins) if you needed to avoid a red into Alpe H'Duez. 1 minute to ski hire, a bakery and a restaurant. Oz is quiet, you don't go there for the nightlife, but for 4 adults and 5 kids the chalet, the hosts, the location and Oz itself was perfect.
Marie and Flo were fantastic hosts. I really enjoyed Marie's (excellent) French cooking. Marie made more effort than any chef in a chalet I've stayed at and the results were noticeable. Flo was great with the children and nothing was too much effort. We split the meal times in the evening, which gave us some peace. The place was always clean and tidy.
Only issue was lack of hot water on the top floor at the end of the day, but as long as everyone showered it worked out once you knew.

Fantastic Chalet, great hosts
From the moment we arrived to a Champagne and canape welcome, to the moment we left with a bag of fresh croissants for our drive to the airport, we were looked after by our wonderful hosts Marie & Florence
The food was amazing and the chalet cosy and welcoming
Superb location, just a 2 minute walk from the lift and more importantly 5 minutes from the bars!

Great facilities, superb hosts
We stayed for a long weekend at the Chalet. Great location 2 minutes walk from the Alpette gondola and 3 minutes into the village. Our room was spacious, en-suite and had a high standard of décor.
Our hosts Marie and Florence, were excellent, and Marie produced the most amazing high-end restaurant standard food for every meal. They also provided little touches particularly our welcome when we arrived . I would recommend staying at this Chalet if only for the FOOD... Thanks again ladies you did a fantastic job and made our long weekend very special.

Birthday Trip
We had a fabulous week at the chalet. Marie and Flo are excellent hosts. We enjoyed the wonderful menus prepared by Marie and they both made Kaz's Birthday very special with a fabulous raspberry and chocolate cake. It was a work of art and delicious. Nothing was any trouble, they made us feel very welcome. We loved relaxing in front of the fire in the evening. The chalet is very cosy and has stunning views and is as close to the ski lift as you can get.
Can't wait to visit again....

Skiing Xmas 2019
Great location for local skiing and easy to Alpe d'Huez too
Lift is opposite the chalet 0 less than a minute walk....other lift is less than five minutes - just a short walk through the pedestrianised centre.
Fantastic chef and host - best food we've had in a catered chalet
Their attention to detail was outstanding
You'll struggle to find anything better...

Perfect ski chalet in great location with absolutely superb food and wonderful hosts
The chalet is in a great location, very close to the Alpette ski lift which gives easy access to the whole Alpe D'Huez ski area. The staff, Marie and Florence, were fantastic, and Marie produced the most amazing high-end restaurant standard food for every meal, plus divine cakes for afternoon tea. We were lucky enough to be there for Christmas week so enjoyed a superb Christmas dinner too. We shared the chalet with another family which worked well as we had the 2 beautiful en-suite rooms in the basement (with great views of the valley), and the other family had the 3 upstairs rooms. We all shared the communal sitting room and ate together. Both families had teenage children and Marie was happy to accommodate both huge appetites and fussy eaters! The chalet is very comfortable and we enjoyed relaxing in front of the log fire after our days' skiing

Great location with easy lift access, glorious food, stunning sunsets over the valley
We stayed at Chilled Mountain at the start of March for a week. The chalet sits at the top of a valley in the village of Oz en Oisans and is the closest chalet to the Alpette gondola. It is compact, but easily caters for 8 to 10 adults in 5 double/twin rooms. It is very close to the Alpette lift (100m or 2 minute walk in ski boots!!) and has free car parking within 100m also.
Our hosts Greg and Laurie looked after us, cooking a hot breakfast each day (eggs benedict, fresh pancakes, scrambled eggs) with fresh croissants, yoghurt, coffee/tea and juice and dinner each night. The dinners were restaurant quality and were tailored to our needs, and every night the conversations stopped while we scoffed our meal, washed down with liberal amounts of red and white wine.
Theres no direct transport to the village so you’ll need to hire a car or pay £££ for a private transfer. We flew to Chambery from the U.K. and hired a car at the airport to drive to Oz, the drive was fairly easy and took about 2 hours.
The Alpette lift gives direct access to the Vaujany ski area, with links to the whole of Alpe D’Huez. There are loads of runs, including the longest black run in Europe as well is high altitude views from the top of Pic Blanc at 3000m. The ratings of the runs can be a bit strange, some blues felt like reds and some reds like blues, but overall the skiing was good and varied and we covered most of the Alpe D’Huez grand domain ski area during the week we had.

Pampered skiing
Perfect location, comfortable accommodation and excellent cuisine. Our hosts were exceptionally attentive, nothing was too much trouble and all allergies/likes/dislikes taken into account with grace and flair.

My partner and I have just returned from a fantastic ski holiday staying in this beautiful ski chalet.
Everything was perfect! The accommodation was very comfortable, location perfect, food awesome and hosts were great!

Great chalet, wonderful hosts
Superb half term family ski holiday. The chalet is perfect - very comfortable and great location.
Whilst the beginners couldn't ski back down to Oz, the chalet is a one minute walk from the bottom of the gondola ( or 10 minutes from the other) so it was easy for everyone to get home.
What really made the week were the wonderful hosts Emily and Juan who were great company, amazing chefs (easily the best food I have ever had on a ski holiday especially as they went to the trouble of a bespoke veggie and fish menu for us) and who couldn't do enough to make our holiday a success.
This is a great place for families or people who value the skiing/boarding over the nightlife. Oz is a cute little village but very quiet. The ski shop was brilliant and reasonably priced and the private instructors from esf were also superb.
The chalet works very well for 2 families and can accommodate 10 people comfortably. There are 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and a loo near the spacious boot room. The living area is lovely with the added benefit of a great sun terrace.
The owners Nick and Jayne were great to deal with and very helpful so all in all it's a definite 5 stars.

The Massif des Grandes Rousses ski area is vast and varied, with 220 km of runs consisting of 41 greens, 28 blues, 27 reds and 14 blacks including the longest black descent in the Alps. The Vaujany ski region extends from Vaujany to Alpe d'Huez, with 65 km of runs and 35 slopes catering for every ability. One of Europe's most powerful artificial snow systems takes care of the lower slopes from 2700 to 1350m. At 3330m the Sarenne glacier takes care of itself. The slopes here have something for everyone. Beginners to experts will not be disappointed.
Getting around
The resort is totally accessible by foot. Should you wish to venture further afield a car will be required.
There are buses that run up and down the mountain on a daily basis.

Oz en Oisans is based in the southern alps and easily accessible via flights to Grenoble ( 1 hour ) or Lyon ( 2 hours )
