Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

A dream catered chalet in perfect location for skiing
I have just stayed at Chilled Mountain (2 x family of 4) for a week. The hosts Emily and Juan really made it for us. They are such capable hosts and perfectly hospitable. The food was amazing and incredibly appreciated! They really went the extra mile to ensure we were happy, met our needs and always balanced their presence in our holiday with giving us plenty of space to enjoy our group time together. An example of this is that they kindly served our kids their meals first so the children could leave the table and go and play in the childrens play area (toys, dvd's, games etc). So the adults could relax and enjoy gorgeous 3 course meals each day. They were flexible with the menu to accomodate and tweaks for the kids or adult preferences. They even helped on the slopes one morning with the kids between their duties! I think you have found winning hosts for sure! The chalet was very comfortable and tastefully furnished too (newly refreshed). A perfect holiday home.

This place just gets better!
We've been here before and this superb chalet never cease to satisfy. From the start, our hosts, Juan and Emily, were so attentive, knowledgeable and professional. They really know the resort but more so really know how to look after guests. The chalet is impeccable. Everything has been thought of from the comfiest beds, delicious food and hospitality, books, DVDs and games (a huge hit with the kids, in their own lounge area), a boot warmer and boot room. Everything is just as you would like it to be with no stress or hassle. The ski lift is so close and it makes it really accessible for everyone. New Year's eve was a delight with our hosts making it a night to remember. Thank you. In a word, there is everything her to make this an unforgettable, relaxing holiday. Just first class. Thank you Chilled Mountain.

Thoroughly recommended
This was my first time at Chilled Mountain. The Chalet is lovely. Well appointed and very laid back. Emily and Juan could not have been more helpful and attentive. They produced great food and advice on the area and the resort. I would certainly go again and happy to suggest that others should visit.

The best way to enjoy a ski holiday - sheer luxury!
This was my second year at Chilled Mountain. I usually like to try a different ski resort each time but Chilled Mountain was so much better than any ski holiday that I've ever had before that I had to go back again with my husband and son this time. Neither of them ski but they had a wonderful time tobogganing on the specially prepared toboggan piste, riding the gondola up to the top of the Alpe D'Huez local pistes. This also allowed me to spend time with them whilst skiing nearby. Dave, the chef was excellent as was his partner Julia who looked after us really well and gave us lots of skiing advice. Much as I'd like to see another resort, I think I will probably go back to Chilled Mountain next year, it's just so luxurious and spacious compared to staying in a hotel and the ski area is vast and varied.

Amazing
This was our first experience skiing as a family (as we have been waiting for the kids to be old enough to enjoy the experience). We were looked after suberbly by the chalet hosts Joe and Vicky. The food was simply outstanding. They catered to our every whim and coming home after being so spoilt has been quite miserable. The location of the chalet is ideal, parking is no problem (we hired a car), ski school is 150m from the front door and there are two bubble lifts within easy walking distance. The chalet is equipped woth wifi and plenty of toys, games and films to keep the whole family entertained in the evenings. There are plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms so even staying with another family you don't feel you are living on top of each other. There is a heated boot room with specially designed heated boot/glove warmers so no putting on any damp equipment the next morning. The real icing on the cake for me after a tiring day on the slopes was to return to the chalet and have tea and cake followed by the kids tea followed by a three course meal for the adults....all absolutely delicious and we didn't have to lift a finger! - Heaven! I'm never going self-catering again! I have skiied extensively and have been a chalet host muself (but no way near as good as Joe and Vicky)! The chalet and its facilities provide everythig you will need for a comfortable, enjoyable and relaxing skii holiday. I would highly recommend this chalet to other families and wouldn't hesitate to book again. If you want a buzzing nightlife this is not the place for you but if you want a lovely small village attached to a big reaort (so all the skiing benefits but not the hussle and bustle) it is the perfect choice.

Mr
This is the perfect place to stay for an alps trip. We were doing a late summer cycling trip and this was perfect. Graham and Nicola were absolutely brilliant the food and service were exceptional - he even fixed my bike! I simply could not recommend this highly enough.

Perfect. So good I am wary of sharing.
As a large group we booked Chalet Galibier as a base for the 2015 Etape du Tour. It was perfect. Chalet is well-fitted and equipped. Large enough. The staff, Nicola and Graham were friendly, flexible, informative and fun. Just fabulous. The booking and paying process was good. The food is fantastic. And well tailored to our needs. There were no complaints whatsoever.

Great stay near Vaujany
Thanks to the superb cooking of Graham and the wonderful care and enthusiasm of Nicola we (4 cyclists) had a great week and were absolutely fitted to do our cycling tour of the Vaujany event. Such a luxury to return home and find home-made cookies/pie with delicious drinks and we had the best vegetarian meals ever in France! We can recommend this to every cyclist (and non-cyclists). The only this to be improved is our (tour) time, so we have a reason to return next year ;-)

Great service - again
Stayed for two nights in Chalet L'Etenard at the start of July. Great service from our host/chef, Ewan, who even waited until 10.30pm to serve us dinner on Saturday evening. Excellent food quality too.. Thanks again
