Recently renovated, fully equipped, non smoking, 2 bedroom, 1 full bathroom cottage (sleeps 4 adults plus one child/teenager comfortably) in Dwight Bay right on beautiful Lake of Bays. Great for work-from-home option. Steps to water and sunset. Includes wood stove and oil heat, water cooler for drinking water, BBQ and deck. Amazing location with many services a short drive away. Only 5 minutes from grocery store, large sandy public beach with boat ramp, restaurant/cafe, post office, world famous bakery, library, garbage disposal, and marina. Due to coronavirus, we take extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations.

Beautiful pet-friendly waterfront cottage
This cozy little cottage on the waterfront provided the peace and serenity we were searching for; the location is simply beautiful! The sunset views were amazing, and it is a perfect place to bring your pet. The lake has a sandy bottom (public beach 5 minutes walk), and the water is crystal clear. The dog loved it!
The cottage is set up with everything you need; just move in and enjoy.
Laura provided outstanding, friendly service; she and her cottage deserve 5 stars!

Cozy
We loved this little cottage! It felt just right and had everything we wanted. The kitchen was well stocked. Laura was helpful and friendly without ever being intrusive. We would love to return for a mid-summer visit!

Amazing pet-friendly waterfront cottage!!
The location is amazing, easy to get to and right on the water! A great family and pet friendly cottage with everything you need. Laura was awesome, really quick to respond with answers to any questions we had and gave us great tips on local spots.
We will definitely be visiting again!

Beautiful Getaway
Laura was very !accommodating and ready to help at a moments notice. Our trip was exhausting due to the heavy traffic and pleasantly surprised that Laura had her cottage opened and waiting for us to enjoy. So it was very quiet (which was very nice). The house was clean, and had anything we needed. We explored the area, quiet walks to the public beach down the road and shops close by. We enjoyed our ribeye steaks from their Dwight Corner grocery store which was a lot tastier than Independent from Huntsville.
I highly recommend this little piece of paradise to anyone.

Das Haus ist dringend sanierungsbedürftig. Die primitiven Schiebefenster sind fast alle verklemmt und lassen sich nicht mehr bewegen. Die Fliegengitter haben Löcher, die ander Gäste versucht haben mit Toilettenpapier zu stopfen. Die Böden (PVC und Teppich) sind felckig und verbraucht. Das Sofa ausgebleicht und voller Flecken. Eigentlich gibt es nichts, dass nicht verfleckt ist, so auch die alten Sitzauflagen für die Gartenstühle. Neben dem Haus vergammeln alte bemoste Gartenmöbel, an der Seitenwand lehnt Sperrmüll. Die Möbel sind alt und wackelig, das ganze Interieur schäbig. Lampen gehen zum Teil nicht. In der Nacht hat man die Mäuse (?) in der Wand am Kopfende des Bettes gehört!
Sehr ungepflegter Gesamtzustand, die guten Bewertungen auf Tripadvisor sind völlig unverständlich - nur die Lage ist tatsächlich gut. Das Haus ist Elend. Wir sind nach einer Nacht wieder abgereist.

Birthday vacation
Title says it all, my family and I rented the cottage for my birthday week. Laura and her family (some next door and from BC) welcomed us to there little get away. We enjoyed the cottage and the awesome views from the water. We brought our dogs and we spent our days fishing and down at the water. They have a dock that goes out but the water is only knee deep for a while and no problem walking out then swimming. The cottage has everything you need and if you forgot anything Huntsville is 20 mins away but there is a bakery and store 5 mins away. You do have neighbors but from what we saw they are the neighbors you want.

Nice location and friendly and communicative host (by email). Place is right by the lake in a great location in dwight however the cottage is a little tired and could do with some renovating, nothing major and I'd still recommend staying due to location but just be aware that this isn't a perfect idyll. The lack of air con might affect some in the height of summer and there is no dishwasher if that is an issue.

Hi there I'm so sorry you felt the cottage was a little "tired".
The cottage bathroom was just been totally renovated this past year, in addition new water pump with UV unit and new shingles were added this past fall - its a lovely cozy getaway here and does not have a slick resort feel. There is a portable AC unit that is in the closet for use if needed but frankly none of the cottages in this area have air conditioning as it is never needed. There is no dishwasher as the cottage is a quaint 2 bedroom with max 4 people. :) Hope to see you again!

Cosy nook in beautiful spot.
Perfect location away from built up area but with some great local shops and restaurants and within a 15 minute drive of Alqonguin park, Huntsville is about 20-30 minutes drive for more amenities. Situated right on the lake shore it is very quiet and private. The cabin has pretty much everything you would need, the robust washing machine was great fun! We stayed during winter with temperatures down around -30 C and was still warm and comfortable especially once the stove was fired up!!! Very helpful owner was always quick to respond to our questions and point us in the right direction.

Relaxing stay at a lovely cottage
The location is great, lake front lovely cottage. Laura is very friendly and welcoming. Weather was a bit hotter than we expected so had some mozzies problem on the first day but the rest of our stay was fantastic. would like to return with my mum again! thanks for a wonderful cottage stay!

From Toronto: take Hwy. 400 and 11 to Hwy. 60 (at Huntsville). Turn east on Hwy. 60 for approx. 33 km to Dwight.
From Ottawa: Take Hwy. 17 and 60 through Algonquin Park past the West Gate. Dwight is approximately 20 min from the Park’s West Gate.
