On entering the property the great drawing room is found on the right with its white columns and two large marble fireplaces. With its stunning yellow hand painted wallpaper and high ceilings, this room is both majestic and comfortable. Traditional in style, there is a piano located at one end and numerous antiques throughout the room as well as plenty of sofas and armchairs to relax in. The kitchen and dining room are located downstairs on the lower ground floor of the building and are once again beautifully proportioned with a large dining room table seating up to 8 guests comfortably and a large fireplace situated on one wall. Beyond is the kitchen area, partly separated from the dining area by a long antique counter which is perfect for serving dishes. A large TV screen attached to the wall but invisible from the dining area because of the big carved dresser, can be viewed while seated at the small marble table. There is also a small sofa to view from. The ovens and hob together with the fridge microwave and storage are ultra modern, with granite work surfaces and half concealed behind a double wall on the right. Also located on this floor is a large WC for convenience. Outside you will find a lovely patio garden, split over two levels with plenty of trees and plants for privacy it is the perfect spot for an evening drink or for dining alfresco! Continuing up onto the first floor you are met with the master bedroom suite which is a true delight and covers the entire floor. This room has a wonderful ambience with its superb four poster super-king bed and grand traditionally styled curtains lining all the windows that cross the front of the property. For extra comfort there are sofas and armchairs within the room and a walk in wardrobe providing fantastic storage. Beyond is the master ensuite bathroom which is modern and has been recently refurbished. Boasting a separate bath and walk in shower, to suit all tastes, a WC and twin basins, this room is a delight and a wonderful contrast to the tradition style of the rest of the property. Following up to the second floor is the second bedroom, a library and a bathroom. The bedroom is immaculately decorated in beautiful wallpaper and stylish furnishings. It houses an antique queen-size double bed, bedside tables, a wardrobe for storage and colourful paintings adorning the walls. The library with its shelves and shelves worth of books and large antique rug covering the floor is adjacent and can be used as an office if necessary. This is a really peaceful room to be in and has views out over the front of the property. There is a bathroom also located on this floor which has been painted a Provençal blue and has a large bath and separate walk in shower, a WC and twin basins. The top floor comprises a further three single bedrooms, one of which also houses an artists studio! A third bathroom is also located on this floor with a WC, basin and shower over a bath. Home Truths One of the single bedrooms is also an artists studio and is only suitable for a small child to sleep in rather than an adult. A security deposit of GBP 495 will be pre-authorised by Veeve from your credit/debit card 2 days prior to your check-in date.
