About the neighbourhood
Studios 55 are on the corner of Avenida 55 and Calle11 (also called Ave. Andres W. Roo) . Please check the map for the location.
It is about 11 blocks back from the water (and the main square) and takes about 20 minutes to walk to the center of town.
There is a great fruits/veggies/sundries grocer just around the corner plus several restaurants.
Casa Orchid is immediately adjacent to the owners home (Fulvio and Sandra), so any questions or problems will be resolved quickly.
Casa Orchid has its own private entrance, and is very quiet and safe. There is no garden but there is an outside patio to lounge in.
Getting around
Many guests walk, but others will rent a bike if staying for only a week or so and those that stay for several months often purchase a bicycle and when they leave they donate it to one of the charities for children.
If you'd like to rent a vehicle there is parking normally available on the street.
