The townland consists of a number of houses and a traditional Irish bar - Bonner's, with a great reputation for food and music, and is close to the Donegal coastline - Carrickfinn and Mullaghderg are the nearest beaches less than 3km away.
Mullaghduff was also home to Celtic Park's first sod of turf, which was cut in 1995. In June 1995 a small plaque was unveiled along the road by Celtic Captain Paul McStay.
