Staley Hall is a stylish and welcoming self-catering apartment. Originally a medieval hall house built in 1343 it has now been expertly renovated.

Situated on the first floor, an entrance hallway with an antique settle leads to the large open plan living/dining area.
The kitchen is well-equipped with place settings for 6 at the large dining table.

2 bedrooms can accommodate up to four guests.
The main bedroom has an antique four poster bed with an en-suite shower room.
The second bedroom can either be a superking bed or twin beds on request.
In addition there is a family bathroom with a Victorian style roll -top bath.

We had an excellent stay at this apartment, our party was 2 adults & 2 children. It is fitted to a very high standard, the beds were comfortable, the bedding was good quality and ultra clean throughout. We look forward to staying again! Regards Mark

About the neighbourhood
A short drive (45 mins) takes you along the Snake Pass to the Lady Bower Reservoir, a popular walking area. There are 3 reservoirs, the second of which is the Derwent Reservoir. During the second world war, the pilots of 617 squadron practised their low-level flying for what is now known as the Dambuster Raids. Filming took place here for the Dambusters movie (1955).

For art lovers. the Lowry Centre at Salford Quays (40 mins drive) houses the largest public collection of paintings and drawings by L.S.Lowry in the world. Lowry's place of residence from 1948 to his death in 1976 was a house only 10 minutes away from Staley Hall, in Mottram in-Longdendale. A bronze statue of him can be seen sitting on a bench nearby.
