Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Excellent accommodation
We stayed over the Easter period in The Dairy and had a lovely time. The barn is spotlessly clean and with the underfloor heating an even temperature throughout. Everything we could wish for was available and can highly recommend, the dog even had a paddock to roam in. With Peddars Way virtually on the doorstep, this also makes the barn an ideal place to stay with such a wonderful walk.

An Amazing place.
Stayed at The Dairy with my husband and 2 sons, and our Dog. It is an absolutely beautiful place. Well laid out, beautifully furnished, and had everything we needed. The owners, Sue and Mark were really lovely. We were spoilt on arrival with wine and mlk in the fridge, bread in the bread bin, and gorgeous biscuits for us to enjoy with a cuppa. Oh, and there was a lovely big doggy biscuit for our Nero! Our youngest son was most taken with the goats, his favourite being the little girl goat, April. And Nero was besotted with Dexter, the owners gorgeous Spaniel. There was also a huge paddock out the front for Nero to run in, as well as dog agility equipment! Loads to do in the surrounding area, and beautiful walks on the doorstep. Will definitely be re-booking!

Thank you so much for your glowing review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and had a wonderful holiday. Dexter misses his playmate Nero - so lovely that the dogs both had such fun too. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Very best wishes Sue, Mark and Dex.

A beautiful home in a lovely location
The accommodation was top notch with excellent fixtures and fittings - it was obviously designed and built with a lot of thought and attention to detail. Owners are very friendly and will to help but are not intrusive. Very dog friendly with walks right on the door step. Highly recommended.

luxury accommodation in beautiful rural farmland setting
We stayed for bed and breakfast arriving to a warm welcome from Sue with tea and biscuits. Immaculate room and bathroom with outside seating and tranquility! One mile away a really good village pub/restaurant serving quality food at a modest price with excellent service. Breakfast at West Heath Barn was delightful with much of the food locally sourced. We travelled on to the accessible North Norfolk coast refreshed and ready for a full day discovering this wonderful county. The self catering accommodation nearby looked spacious and superbly furnished. Will definitely return.

Fantastic place to spend a holiday - we couldn't have stayed anywhere better!
My husband & I stayed here with my parents & my 2 teenage daughters & dogs and had a fantastic holiday. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and the cottage was beautiful. We can't recommend this place highly enough & will definitely be going back. It was a great base and close to very good pubs, beautiful beaches and lovely villages. Highly recommended!

About the neighbourhood
Less than a mile from Great Massingham, one of Norfolk’s prettiest villages, and adjacent to Peddars Way National Trail, West Heath Barn is an ideal base for exploring all that Norfolk has to offer. We’re close to a wide range of attractions from walking or cycling on Peddars Way to the magnificent historic houses and country estates including Sandringham, Houghton Hall and Oxburgh Hall and more. The stunning Norfolk coast is less than 30 minutes drive away, offering 60+ miles of sandy beaches, marshlands and big skies. Birdwatchers are within easy reach of Snettisham and Titchwell bird reserves. Burnham Market and Holt offer chic retail therapy and the fabulous cities of Norwich and Cambridge are less than an hour away.
Getting around
We advise to get the best out of this area, you do need a car unless the primary purpose of your holiday is to walk the network of paths that surround us.

How to get there
Approx 2.5hrs drive from London. West Heath Barn is less than a mile outside Great Massingham. Most of our guests do travel here by car (unless they are walking Peddars Way National Trail) and there is plenty of parking immediately beside the cottages. Should you wish to travel by train, the nearest mainline station is Kings Lynn (about a 15 minute taxi ride). There is a bus service from Great Massingham to the key towns that surround us (Swaffham, Kings Lynn and Fakenham) but do bear in mind we live in a beautiful rural area so public transport reflects that.
