"Berlou is ideally located to enjoy the natural beauty of the Haut Languedoc National Park. It is surrounded by unspoilt countryside, vineyards and forests and is ideal for walking, hiking and mountain biking. There is a lovely restaurant with a good reputation in the Village.
Berlou is only 10 minutes from Saint-Chinian, which is also known for its wines and there or the choice of many restaurants, cafes and shops. Cessenon, also only 10 minutes from Berlou has is a mini-farm. Roquebrun (15 minutes), a beautiful historic village, which has a canoe / kayak, centre and art gallery, Mediterranean garden, cafes and restaurants, there are also a beach. You can swim in fresh water of the Orb. Gorges d'Heric are only 40 minutes, and the Mediterranean coast, so that both are perfect for the morning commute or afternoon. "

There was no wifi in this villa for the duration of our stay and evidence that there was none even before we got there with disputes over the owners of the property apparently not paying the bill. Then apparently the bill was paid but it was last years bill. Then they wouldn’t connect it because this years bill hadn’t been paid…. Different excuses were made to us every day with a promise each time of it being turned on the next day. We were left very disappointed as this is a top criteria for us when choosing a villa. At the time of leaving there was still no wifi connected. We were offered a small amount of compensation at the end of our stay, but it does not get away from the fact that wifi is a fundamental part in our holiday requirements and had we known it didn’t have wifi we would not have chosen this villa. In addition to this, despite being told that the keycode to gain entry to the villa was on an email with the address of the villa, it was in fact not, so we waited outside...

Good base for visiting this area. Roquebrun very close and worth a visit . Vineyards and caves for tasting around every corner. Friendly locals and Sue who manages the property ensured everything was ready for our midweek arrival and even posted back some forgotten items.Would definitely recommend for a family holiday, with easy access to the coast and larger towns , great views and facilities.

This property has a large open plan kitchen dining room, lounge with french doors onto the patio and garden overlooking the pool area. Beautiful views over the vineyards. There is one double bedroom with french doors onto the garden and pool area, one double master bedroom and one bedroom with 2 single beds and en-suite shower room. A baby cot can be provided if necessary. There is a games room with table tennis and a trampoline in the garden. The newly built pool is surrounded by a terraced area and garden. There is parking for at least 2 cars. The house is south facing.

A deposit will be required of 30% to secure you booking, the balance being payable 8 weeks before arrival, and a security deposit of 500 euros payable on arrival or 1 week in advance by cheques,which will be reimbursed no later than 7 days after your departure, when the property has been checked. If you would like an additional clean it is 50 euros and Linen change during your stay from 8 euros per couple. For rentals of longer than 30 days in mid and low season a discount can be offered. Please ask for details.
Preferred method for payment is direct bank transfer or by cheque in euros.
For rentals from October there is an electricity charge based on usage.
