As two couples we stayed here for 2 weeks 13th to the 27th September. The house enjoys a lovely elevated site overlooking an inlet onto the Dart river. Parking for 1 car is not ideal for a house accommodating 6 adults (we did know of this in advance) nor is the one way system passing the property.
We found the lounge area very dark with limited seating. A large patio adjoins the conservatory overlooking the valley, again limited seating with only 2 aluminium chairs and a small table.
On arrival we found that the crockery (mugs) were stained and chipped and not fit for purpose, these were replaced on request. Bed linen and towels were changed after one week however, no cleaning was carried out over the 2 weeks so one can imagine what the bathrooms were like by the time we departed.
We mostly dined out in Dartmouth, the Rockfish or the Royal Castle Hotel were our choice, we had one meal in The Ship Inn in Kingswear and were not impressed.
