Yet another fantastic weekend at Mudtrek
5 star service from start to finish, in the most stunning welsh setting. Not to mention the epic mountain biking ! Anyone wanting to have a truely magnificent MTB experience, there’s no better place to go !

M - M..ountain bikers 5 ⭐️ break.
U - U..tterly superb in every way.
D - D..elicious and quality cuisine.
T - T..rails a plenty in a local paradise for unspoilt off piste riding.
R - R..elaxing and tranquil setting.
E - E..njoyable to the end.
K - K..eep it up Nikki and Jay because you provide a perfect location and you were just the most friendly and accommodating hosts from the word go.

Fantastic Weekend with Mudtrek!
So the Mudtrek tag line is "Think of a Ski Chalet…for mountain bikers.. in Wales" and that is exactly what it is but so much better!
What a fantastic weekend we had! Top hospitality from Nikki and Jay.
The barn accommodation was really nice and so well appointed, everything you need for a comfortable stay, with secure location for your bikes. We all have EBikes and there was ample charging points.
The hot tub was brilliant and just what you need after a full days riding, the sunset view was something else.
The food, evening meal and breakfast, that Nikki provided were top end quality and we really didn’t expect the standard that was provided, very tasty and plenty of it, we didn’t go hungry, the packed lunches were fabulous, more than our expectation of a sandwich! Also catered for a glutton free need without any issue.
The BBQ on the Saturday evening was so good, because we had good weather Jay & Nikki invited us over to the house and we had the BBQ on the decking area, so much food, a cracking BBQ and what a stunning view!
We are five MTBs, all experienced in “off piste” trails and really didn’t want trail centre riding and Jay didn’t disappoint, we rode from the barn door to Brefcha Forest and rode some great trails, rocky, rooty shoots, twisty tree lined trails in the middle of woods, trails called Middle Earth, T-Rex, Pump’n’Grind, Treeline sprint and so many more, we managed to get in just over 34 miles and 4600ft of climbing!
Jay is a great guide, reviewed our riding ability quickly and decided what trails were suitable and capable of and guided us so well, he pushed us a bit as well but without any pressure, offered advice when needed and encouraged us, such a great day.
As we were all on EBikes, Jay got one as well which enabled us to stay out much longer and cover the distance we did, it was all about us enjoying ourselves as much as possible and he really achieved this!

Fantastic weekend of mountain biking
I've never been made to feel so welcome or well looked after as Nikki and Jay practically invited us into their home. I've recommended MUDTREK to loads of my friends and told them about this overlooked area of Wales.

10th and the best trip!
It just gets better and better, perfect place, perfect hosts and we all had our best trip (this is our 10th year coming). Massive thank you to Jay and Nikki ( and co-guide Rich).

THE best place to mountain bike and have a great break in the UK
This is our 9th time and it just gets better - thank you Nikki and Jay
Nothing is too much trouble, excellent food and accommodation and you are in safe hands with Jay biking (finds just the rides for all abilities and everyone has fun)

Awesome biking weekend with Mudtrek!
Just back from a fantastic weekend with Mudtrek in Wales! I love it there! Everything is great, the accommodation with incredible views, the hospitality, and the lovely food and being catered for by the lovely hostess Nikki. A memorable birthday weekend for me with a wonderful BBQ Sunday night and much fun was had by all! We had two brilliant adventure days mountain biking with Jay in the Preselli hills and the beautiful Doethie valley. Jay was very patient with us and took some amazing pictures so we have some great memories! Can’t wait to go back!

Fab food and fun biking
We had a fantastic weekend staying at Mudtrek. Nikki made a delicious beef casserole with sticky toffee pudding for our arrival on Friday night and amazing breakfasts both days. The ride with Jay on Saturday was great, he found exactly the right balance of fun and challenging (I hadn’t been on a mountain bike much recently so it was definitely at the challenging end!). He knows the surrounding forest like the back of his hand and took us on some brilliant trails. The hot-tub with a beer was the perfect recovery before settling in to the barbeque hut for our tea. Thanks for a lovely weekend – I’m sure we will be back.

Great biking weekend
A great weekend - the guided MTB route was pitched at exactly the right level for our group, the food was delicious and the hot tub a real winner after a day’s riding. Thanks to Nikki and Jay for another fun trip.
