About the neighbourhood
Ciliau Aeron nestles in the Aeron Valley, a good starting point to discover the breath-taking coastline of Cardigan Bay and 9 miles from Lampeter. The Secret Garden of TyGlyn is a short walk from the property with picnic and play areas for children. The Llanerchaeron Estate and Mansion House is just 1 mile away, with picnic areas in the grounds. Built by architect John Nash in the 1790’s, it has been sympathetically restored by the National Trust. New Quay is just 9 miles away; (follow the Dylan Thomas Trail where he wrote Early One Morning), or go dolphin spotting in the bay. Regular Dolphin spotting boat trips operate from the harbour, some with hydrophones (underwater microphones) so you can listen to the chatter of the dolphins.
