Overview
Cottage -
3 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 5
Dolwyddelan, Snowdonia National Park, North Wales, Wales
"Gwenallt" is an attractive traditional stone Welsh cottage about 150 years old, and has some low doorways. It is cosy and warm and comfortably furnished with a simple cottage style decor, retaining many original features. It is carpeted throughout, except for kitchen and bathroom.

The small but convenient fitted kitchen, overlooking the back garden, has the original slate floor.

Dolwyddelan is in the Snowdonia National Park in the very attractive Lledr Valley on the A470, 5 miles to the south-west of Betws-y-Coed. It is a quiet but friendly village at an elevation of about 140m above sea level. It is an excellent centre for exploring Snowdonia by foot, car and even by rail. There is also horse riding and fishing in the locality and many places of interest to visit. The sandy beaches and resorts of the N and W coasts are 4...

The cottage was absolutely spotlessly clean and so warm and comfortable we didn't want to leave, we will definitely be going back. Lovely little garden which is accessed across a bridge and listening to the constant running water at the back of the...

My partner and I had a lovely week in North Wales despite the weather. We visited Llandudno, Port Meirion, Anglesey, Caenarvon, Beddgelert and Conwy (all were within a 30-40 minute drive). Betwsy-Coed was a nice little place (within 10 minutes drive) which had a few walking shops, cafes and pubs. The roads are excellent, well maintained and well signposted in...
