Absolutely no parking for more than one vehicle, don't even think about taking more than one car!! It antagonises the neighbours and causes lots of problems. If you can get 8 people in one vehicle, fine, otherwise don't bother!

About the neighbourhood
Ty Llwyd Cottage is part of a small settlement next to the site of the old railway station that linked Blaenau Ffestiniog and Bala. It is about half a mile from the main part of the village that lies on the shores of Trawsfynydd lake on the opposite side of the A470.

The development of Trawsfynydd Lake for tourism is part of The One Big Adventure, a £4 million project to create top class outdoor activity opportunities at four Centres of Excellence in the Meirionnydd area of southern Snowdonia. It is the last of the four centres to open – the other three are the Coed y Brenin Forest Park, Antur Stiniog Down Hill trails at Blaenau Ffestiniog and the Glanllyn Centre, near Bala.

How to get there
Railway: Blaenau Ffestiniog: 10.0 km
From the south approach on the A470 from Dolgellau. As you approach signs for Trawsfynydd you will see a turning on the right (A4212) to Bala. The Prysor service station is on that corner. Approximately 100 metres further on (opposite the turn second into Trawsfynydd) there is another right turn called Station Road. Follow this road up passed the graveyard and take the next turn on the right before the road bends around to the left. The is Stryd Ardudwy. Follow the street around to the left, go over the old railway line and take the next right into Ty Llwyd Terrace. Ty Llwyd Cottage (Number 11) is towards the far end. It is best to park on the slate gravel of the front garden as there are not many parking spaces for the residents.
