This was our second visit to Ardachearnbeg (shows it was good first time), but the last time was in the Autumn. The hospitality of the owners and the quality of the property brought us back again. The scenery is breathtaking and the greenery and in particular the Rhododendrons and Bluebells were spectacular. The weather was also kind to us. The...

What a gem the Hayloft in Glendaruel is. The perfect base for exploring Argyll and Cowal. So much to do in the area and surprisingly easy to get there from Glasgow. The accommodation was ideal, every need catered for. The hospitality of Kate and John was first rate – like meeting up with old friends  Had a wonderful stay...

About the neighbourhood
Glendaruel is a gentle glen to be found south of Strachur on the road to Colintraive. It is sparsely populated making an ideal retreat for those who wish to get away from it all. There are forest walks aplenty making it a wonderful area to bring dogs where they can enjoy the freedom of off lead walking (obviously leads will be required if walking near livestock).
If you are interested in birds there is quite some variety from buzzards and eagles to the smallest coal tits with just about everything else in between....
