Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Great Getaway
This is a stunning little cottage, which for 2 of us and our wee dog proved to be quite spacious. The hosts were very welcoming and are always on hand if you need anything. The property was immaculate and spotlessly clean with all mod cons and very good WiFi. We love that part of the country and spend most of our time between Coldingham and Eyemouth. We are returning in a couple of weeks for 7 nights and can't wait to just chill out at this perfect little home from home.

Stunning
What a fantastic few days in a quirky accommodation. Stunning location, super views from the breakfast bar and from the comfort of your bed. Full credit to the host's, the whole place is kept immaculate. Plenty to see and do in a short walk or drive.

Excellent accommodation
This is a great location, close to Coldingham for shop and a couple of pubs and also to St Abbs harbour for walks along the coast path, We went to Eyemouth and to Berwick and Coldstream. The accommodation is spacious and well equipped especially for 2 people. It was very clean and well presented. Highly recommend it for a stay on that coast.

A very well equipped and comfortable cottage with seaviews.
Templehall cottage is well situated a short walk from the village with a post office, Spar and pub serving excellent food. The beautiful bay is less than a 2 mile walk with a beach cafe and the coastal path takes keen walkers further afield. The cottage was spotless with the necessary information for covid and sanitiser.

3 day work stay.
We booked this accommodation as the hotels we normally stay in were closed due to the Covid 19. The cottage is stunning and finished to a high standard. The view from the well equipped kitchen out over the garden gives a good view of the sea ( an added bonus was a deer in the opposite field). There is one twin bedroom and one double en-suite. Both rooms we’re finished to a good standard which is in keeping with the property. The owners were friendly on arrival, although it was all a little strange due to social distancing. This is a great cottage, I would have no problem recommending this accommodation.

Cottage with a view!!
Lovely cosy cottage with stunning views! Well equipped, spacious & plenty storage, clean & tidy & immaculate garden. Short walk.into village & the beautiful bay or short drive to St Abbs, Eyemouth & Berwick or so many other lovely areas near-by to visit. No negatives other than garden isn't gated but wasn't an issue as we just made sure the dogs were always on lead. Owners friendly & helpful, privacy respected but always there if needed.

Winter visit to TempleHall Coldingham
The cottage was lovely. Well equipped with everything you could need. We self catered and had all we needed to do so. There was WiFi which kept the little one happy in the evenings and the cottage was lovely and warm. Both the on suite and main bathrooms were modern and very comfortable and there was lots of storage for bags, cases and clothing. The garden was a lovely size and our son did play football there despite the cold weather. The kitchen featured ever changing picture postcard views every morning which was a bonus we had not expected. The owners were very helpful, responsive to our questions and very accommodating. During the days we visited Edinburgh, Holy Island, Coldingham Beach, St Abbs and Berwick upon Tweed. The pub in Coldingham was wonderful, warm, friendly and served amazing food. It was a wonderful break and we can’t wait to go back.

Faultless
Excellent place to stay -the owner was friendly and helpful on arrival and showed us the full facilities the cottage had to offer, which were plentiful. It's roomy, quiet and comfortable with a huuuge back garden with fantastic views out to sea. Good selection of leaflets providing local info - the one containing walks is essential reading; we took the bus to Eyemouth then did a wonderful coastal walk along the cliffs back to Coldingham. The cottage is a short walk down to Coldingham and approx. a mile and a half from the lovely, sandy beach which has free, unrestricted parking along with a cafe and surf shop. Highly recommended.
