This is a beautiful place, so peaceful and quiet. I have been several times, but this visit was my first in approx. ten years. Pleased to say nothing had changed much, still gorgeous! After mail- and telephonecontact with Trude, we booked lodge nr. 3 for 3 nights. And we wish afterwards we had more time. We had a very warm welcome with Trude and she gave a good tour in the lodge with all kind of information (which was also available on the map in the lodge). The lodge was well equipped and...

This was our 2nd stay at highland glen lodges and was again brilliant. We received a warm welcome from Trude, who did her utmost to make sure we settled in. Which ever way you come, the scenery is stunning so allow plenty of time.As you go North from Inverness the roads become quieter.Travel over the Black Isle where you may spot seals basking in the Cromarty Firth. Stop at the Storehouse of Foulis to stock up on local delicacies. Keep travelling north looking our for the world famous distilleries along the way - Dalmore and Glenmorangie. Remember to fill up with fuel before you cross the beautiful Dornoch Firth Bridge and continue North until you reach The Mound. From here you will travel inland through Pittentrail and up into the hills. Don't worry - we are always there to greet our guests and make sure you find the Lodge and we will send you detailed instructions when you book.
