Craigview has been tastefully restored and renovated in keeping with it's style and period. It doesn't feel like a rental property at all. The cottage is definitely larger than it looks from outside. Very pretty and lovely tiny village. Quiet and just what you need for a relaxing getaway. Rooms where light and airy, with loads of space. Excellent stay. Would recommend and stay again. Thanks x

About the neighbourhood
Straiton is a very special place. Nestling beneath Craigengower Hill, in a lush, green river valley, the picturesque village sits above a sweeping bend in the Water of Girvan - the river described in a poem by Robert Burns as 'Girvan's fairy-haunted stream'. Located in the heart of Burns Country, Straiton is set amidst the idyllic rural landscape that inspired Scotland's world-famous poet. The village of Alloway, Robert Burns' birthplace and the setting for his epic poem Tam 'o' Shanter is just 12 miles away.

The cliffs, castles and beaches of Ayrshire's varied coastline are also a short drive away, with stunning views across the Firth of Clyde towards Ailsa Craig and the dramatic mountain peaks of Arran.
