A Christmas delight, comfortable and relaxing.
A warm comfortable cottage all decorated for Christmas. We were thrilled to receive a bottle of prosecco, chocolates and a card as a welcome gift. The cottage beds were adapted for our needs which we appreciated. It is very well equipped. The outside area was beautiful and our dog enjoyed playing on the grass and it was lovely to watch the swans and ducks. We would certainly recommend these lodges.

Great cabin with great view
An absolutely lovely week even with not so good weather! Love big spacious lodge with a great gated undercover balcony to sit out on and or eat and admire the view. We went with the dog to walk, chill and relax and did that. Great setting with beautiful views. So close to the canal and woodland walks and a short drive into Pewsey to the shops. Lots to do around if you want to get out on bikes or take a canoe out or drive out in a 20-30 min radius. It was great to have the kitchen fully equipped and be well stocked with kitchen roll, washing up liquid as well as salt, pepper and dishwasher tablets. Very clean with plenty of towels and a basket of leaflets and maps were very helpful as we are not from the area, one of the bathrooms are fully accessible which is also a bonus. Lovely comfort beds great week x

Thank you Samantha for your great review and I am so glad you had a lovely time at Willowbank Lodges. When setting up the cabins I furnished them the way I would hope to experience when renting holiday accommodation and that certainly includes comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen. The roofs over the verandas have proved a good design decision - I always marvel at how many people in the winter will choose to sit out in their hats and coats just to look at the water and wildlife, but it is very tranquil and water has a very calming effect, and that is largely what my guests want to experience. I appreciate you leaving the cabin so clean and tidy when you left, thank you and please come back again anytime! x

Fabulous in every way
Looking for a holiday nearer home, we stumbled across Willowbank lodges. We have some special needs because Dad is disabled, so I called Nicky to discuss his needs. She was incredibly accommodating and very informative about the lodge and surrounds, so we booked. When we arrived, we found a piece of heaven! The lodge was beautiful, comfortable and decked out like a home from home. It really made us feel welcome and relaxed. The site is idyllic. What better way is there to wake up in the morning surrounded by green, with a lovely view of the lake. There is a wonderfully spacious balcony, ideal for watching the swans and their cygnets feeding, or napping, and the herons coming in for a daily feed. It's quiet and peaceful. Although we're the kind of family that likes to explore, and there is plenty to explore nearby, we were also really happy to just chill in this relaxing and heavenly spot. We will be back, again and again! Thanks to Nicky for giving us a new home away from home.

Perfect
Even though it was just the 2 of us we choose the 2 bedroom Bullrush for our 4 night stay. Loads of room and every thing you need, just bring your food. Bath towels were of a generous size, some places you go only just cover your dignity !! The description and photos are very accurate . The setting was idyllic, the swans were sitting on eggs ,had hoped for the cygnets to have hatched but was probably a bit chilly. Not so in the lodge, very cosy even in the chilly evenings. Plenty to see in the area. We walked to Pewsey Wharf and had lunch in Pewsey then walked back via the nature reserve. Had a morning in Hungerford and browsed the Antique shops. We also walked to Oare Hill from the lodge. Lovely walk with good views. Hope to be back again and explore a bit more. Thank you Nicky for making the lodges so special.

Just perfect.
We spent Christmas in Bullrush - two other cabins used by family members-and everything was perfect. Although Nicky was away we had a warm welcome - a Christmas card and a bottle of fizz -and we settled in to the already cosy cabin straight away. It was much larger than we had envisaged and had everything we needed.Bed was extremely comfortable." Home from home" is an appropriate description. We will visit again.

Comfortable Stay in Lovely Countryside
The cottage is new and is furnished complete including cooking utensils, bed and bath linens, TV, etc. Service was excellent - the owner lives just across the lane, and for example responded immediately (and cheerfully) to correct a problem with the television. Beautiful surroundings in the country, and quiet. Located just outside town of Pewsey where there is a good supermarket. Winchester and Salisbury are accessible for day trips. Convenient to motorway M4 for London.

One of the best holiday lets I have stayed in.
Bullrush Lodge is very spacious, cosy and well equipped. I was surprised how big the lodge was inside. Lots of thought has been given to making it comfortable, even down to a blanket on the back of the sofa for those chilly evenings. Everything needed to enjoy our holiday was right there on hand. The scenery at Willowbank is beautiful and can easily be viewed from the comfort of seating provided on the veranda or whilst relaxing inside. The lake, it's various wildlife, and the walks in and around Willowbank meant you could just appreciate the surrounding area and not have to use the car if so wished. The location of Willowbank makes it easy to visit places like Devizes, Hungerford etc by car. You can combine sightseeing and relaxing whilst staying at Willowbank. It is definitely one of the best holidays I have had and I look forward to returning again in the future.

A tranquil location with every comfort
We chose Willowbank Lodges because of the excellent standard of accommodation and tranquil seeting promised on their web page and we were not in any way disappointed. Our lodge was beautifully furnished and fully equipped and its waterside setting could not be beaten. We were particularly pleased to be able to walk up onto the Downs without needing to use our car at all. For supplies, we found the Co-op supermarket in Pewsey to be particularly good and there are plenty of welcoming village pubs round about for lunch or dinner. Willowbank will certainly be on our list for a return visit in the future.

Luxury, peace and quiet and a home from home feel
Had a fantastic 3 night stay. The accommadation is modern, clean, warm, all mod cons and dog friendly. Location is fantastic, only a short distance from Salisbury and Marlborough, with Glastonbury and the Cheddar Gorge all within reach. Nicky, the owner is very efficient and very welcoming. The location of the lodges is very picturesque, overlooking what I think was a former trout lake. You are not overlooked by the other lodges, so felt very private and the balcony was great to make use of the late summer sun and early morning breakfast that we were very lucky to get! Lots of great foodie places around and excellent if your a National Trust member, as some superb sites and walks. Absolute bonus was free Wi-Fi ;)

About the neighbourhood
Pewsey is a charming little village which is less than two miles from Willowbank Lodges and, although small, boasts a surprising number of ameneties. We have an excellent supermarket open seven days a week, a butcher, baker (delicious old fashioned donuts and lardy bread!) petrol station, post office, bank, gift shops, florists, art gallery and visitor centre, internet cafe and various coffee shops and pubs. In addition, we have an excellent award winning tennis club where Willowbank Lodges has membership for its guests and a leisure centre with a swimming pool, squash courts, etc. Slightly further afield, Marlborough boasts a large variety of restaurants and pubs, boutiques, antique shops, two fine churches and has the widest high street in the country. Now it is probably more famous for its International Jazz Festival which takes place in July (13th-15th this year) – a glut of musicians and singers, new bands and old favourites from all over the world, really an experience not to miss. Another music festival taking place this year (April 14th) just north of Marlborough is OneFest with Damon Albarn giving us a preview of his Dr Dee. Local artists open up their studios (Open Studios) to the public during four weekends in July so what with other local musical and artistic events, plenty for those who want to absorb a little local culture. For those crop circle enthusiasts, we are right in the midst of crop circle country and usually there are quite a number of sometimes quite spectacular crop circles to be found on the Downs or in the Vale, within 10 minutes drive of Willowbank Lodges.

There is a fee of £3 per night for dogs and currently I am adding a small fee of £20 to each booking to cover the additional laundry and cleaning costs as a result of Covid.Longer term lets considered so please enquire for a quote.
