Beautiful three bedroom home with panoramic views of the Sea of Cortez, Downtown Cabo and Mountains. Located only 2 miles from Downtown Cabo in the exclusive neighborhood of Ventanas de Cortez. Master bedroom has a king sized bed, private bath and it's own veranda- perfect for Star-Gazing. Both guestrooms have full sized beds and views of the Ocean. Fully equipped kitchen. Two car parking. Linens and towels provided. Only steps away from clubhouse with two pools, jacuzzi's, park, fitness room, deli, chapel, and firepit.
This is a non-smoking house. No Parties. No Pets.

Worst experience with an owner
Not sure where to start with this one. We originally booked Nov 1 to Dec 20, 2019 and again for Feb 1-Apr 30, 2020. Everything went pretty smoothly with the owner - we paid a deposit and the full rent for the first part of our trip. Once we entered the house the problems began. The house was not clean, dead cockroaches, dust and stuff behind the TV stand. It took me 3 hours to clean the fridge and defrost the freezer. Dirty clothes in the washing machine. Only 1 partial roll of toilet paper and no paper towels. 6 light bulbs in the kitchen and dining room did not workThe owner did send her property manager over later with TP but by that time we had been to Costco and bought TP and paper towels.This was just day 1. I sent the owner pictures and she apologized and offered my $100 cleaning deposit back. By the 2nd and 3rd day it was obvious the house was not going to work for us. There is no BBQ, no toaster (because the owner doesn’t eat toast), no pool towels (because people just steal them), no hair dryer, only one floor fan (house does not have ceiling fans), no outside furniture (except for a broken wicker couch and 2 sketchy looking plastic chairs) no end tables or lamps in the living room, the one set of sheets in the master bedroom were very worn and torn on the corners, towels provided were in pretty rough shape, burnt pot and rusty grater, rat poop in the cupboard. Lots of other little things that were annoying but we could live with. We ended up buying our own pool towels, clothes basket for dirty clothes and a toaster. Friends in the area lent us other stuff that was missing but you’d expect in a rental. Day 3 was the final straw when there was a rat in the house. By the end of the week I emailed the owner a very polite email advising her that we would not be going ahead with the rental for Feb 1,2020 and that’s when things went really south. Her entire tone change, she was angry and said she wished she had collected all the money up front and now she wouldn’t be able to rent it even though we gave her 3 months notice. There was also some heavy rain during our stay which started coming up THRU the floors and the lower kitchen cupboard by the sink became very musty smelling. The sink in the powder room leaked. The last two weeks of our stay we were given a notice by the administration that because she had not payed her HOA fees in some time we were no longer to use the amenities (pool, gym etc), that we would have to open and close the gate ourselves and that no yard work would be done. Even if there was outdoor furniture to sit on you couldn’t sit outside because it was so overgrown and there were hundreds of flies. She did give us a good rate on the rental but there were just to many things wrong or missing for us to stay for another 3 full months. We were able to rent another house in the same phase for slightly more money but with all the provisions you would expect in a rental property. On the day before we checked out I asked her if her property manager was coming to walk thru the house with us but she said she was doing it. I left her a note just pointing out and reminding her of the things I had noticed wrong (had already sent her emails as well but never got a response). My lease agreement gave me until Dec 20th to cancel my Feb 1 booking and my $500 deposit to be returned within 72 hours of checkout. Did not hear anything from her so when we returned to Cabo in Jan I touched base with her asking for my refund. She sent me back a reply stating I had caused damage to the guest shower (she charged me $100 but no proof of what the charges were for) and she was keeping the $400 as part of what I owed her for Feb 1. I pointed out to her and sent her a copy of her email giving me until Dec 20 to cancel - after that date my deposit was non refundable. She very reluctantly agreed to refund me the deposit less the $100 for what in essence was a green calcium stain from the water (she said it was dye??🤣🤣) so I said keep it but you agreed to give me back my $100 cleaning deposit. Since we were in the same phase I asked for a cash refund that I could just pick up since it was past the 72 hours since departure. She refused and things started to get nasty, I lost my patience and told her I would take her to court and she called me a bully. She left me a check for $400 which of course being Canadian and the check US I can’t cash in Mexico. My advise to anyone thinking of renting this house - don’t, but if you do be very aware that the pictures do not represent this house. It is really too bad because I have rented thru Airbnb, direct thru owners etc and have never ever had a problem before. There is lots more I could say but hopefully people will consider all of this before renting.

In response to this renter, I can say the same exact of her. She was by far the worst renter I have ever had stay in my home. The gal who managed my property maintained that the house was clean and ready for her. As an act of courtesy, I offered to refund the cleaning deposit and did. My goal was to make them happy. Many if the items mentioned above were downright lies. How sad that someone would resort to that to get what they want. The photos of the house were recent and a reflection of the house. At no time did I have a BBQ or toaster listed as an amenity in the house so not sure where that expectation came from. My property manager did offer to lend them one. Every issue that Lai came to me with was addressed immediately. I've been in the hospitality field my entire career and have found that there are some people who you just can't please as well as some people who will go to lengths to get a free ride.

It was an amazing month stay in this beautiful home for me and my family it felt like it was my own piece of paradise in such amazing community with beautiful views of the arch right from the terrace and bedrooms.
Walking down to the pool and fitness center is just steps away, I did enjoy the pool almost every day for some people they felt water and weather was cold but coming from NY to 75-80 degrees it was just warm enough if not hot (not complaining)
Ventanas is such a nice gated development 24/7 security people are so friendly you can also take a short walk or drive down to ventanas phase 3 where they have a nice restaurant and another amazing pool with nothing but views.
Ventanas is located very very close to all the fun and night life cabo has to offer yet tuck away from all the commotion when you need to rest and feel secure.
Many amazing restaurant are near by and prompt access to major highway to head down to the amazing beaches cabo has, medano beach is the most popular and close to the arch but for me santa maria and chileno bay are much better places to snorkel ,swim, sun tan and relax.
Colleen is such a great person alway replied very fast to any questions or concerns I had and made sure Alfredo (property manager) stayed in contact with me.
Can't wait for my next trip to cabo and hopefully be able to stay in this amazing home.
Thanks Colleen it was a privilege to stay at your place and call it home for a month since it truly felt like it.

Great Stay at Colleens place at Ventanas of Sea of Cortez
We stayed with 3 teens, an 8 year old, my spouse and I. The complex was very neat and tidy. The security and the site staff were very courteous, pleasant, and went beyond the expected to ensure we had a great stay. The gated community was reassuring and we always felt SAFE in the community. The main pool and cold/warm pool amenities were great for the times when we chose to stay around the community. The fitness center was also great. Myself and my son used the gym every day and it was never busy and the equipment was well maintained and just right.
Regarding the home, we enjoyed the stay. It had plenty of room for the 6 of us who travelled. With three bathrooms including 2 showers there was never any waiting. We did a bit of cleaning at our arrival but nothing major. The home has a nice size fridge and a big freezer for those who buy in bulk. The location is only 5 minutes from CostCo and 10 minutes from Walmart, so shopping is a breeze. Location was awesome for what we were looking for. The home had a nice parking spot for our rental as well.
My only guidance is to have a quick call with the owner (1-2 days ahead of the travel date) and get the local property managers' contact information ahead of time so that the key transfer and home possession is seemless.

Great house for family of 5
Great accomodations for 3 kids. House was very close to community pool. Pool was lots of fun. Home was a short taxi ride away from Costco, Walmart, and Sam's Club. Kitchen was fully equipped and washer and dryer worked well. The ocean view from the terrace was magnificent. This was a great price for a huge place, will definitely book again.

Has it all and then some!!!
If you are looking for a beautiful vacation home, look no further! I stayed at this property for a week and will continue to return every year! There are so many things I love about this property! The home is beautifully decorated, equipped with everything you will need, child friendly, extremely well maintained, clean and in the best location ever! The home sits atop a bluff with the most breathtaking views of the Sea of Cortez. In the mornings I would take a walk down to the center of town (approx. 2 miles) for my morning coffee and breakfast. If you are the outdoors type and enjoy exercise I recommend taking the walk, it is energizing, breathtaking and invigorating. The pool on site was never crowded, and there is also a snack shack for coronas or snacks. I was able to enjoy the night life in Cabo, since it's only 2 miles to town. What fun I had! I highly recommend this vacation home, you will not be disappointed!
