This unique property sleeps 12 in 6 double bedrooms and includes its own lounge bar complete with snooker table, bar billiards, darts and a 63' plasma Sky HD TV. The remaining accommodation has been modernised and furnished to provide large individually decorated bedrooms, a spacious first floor living room with vaulted ceiling and wood burning stove and a large kitchen breakfast room on the ground floor; there is even a dumb waiter to send food directly from the kitchen to the dining room!

The property is well positioned to explore the surrounding villages of Essex and is just a short drive from Epping Tube Station with quick access to Stratford's Olympic Village and Stadium. It is also conveniently located for Stansted airport via the M11.

We stayed here for an hen weekend but the pictures on the website don't do it justice. It have everything you needed for a lovely stay in this house. All rooms were spacious clean and tidy.

Chipping Ongar, a small town out in the countryside, close to both the M11 and M25, giving easy access to London and Cambridge. The town is a Conservation Area and contains over 100 listed buildings and other structures.

It is a market town given its charter in the 12th century. The town and the villages around it have retained their charm, the weekly market is still held in the town on Wednesday's. The High Street have a variety of shops and the buildings are of some interest.

The remains of a 12th century castle, fortified by the Normans can be seen.

Most of the popular attractions lie in the surrounding countryside.
