Pekes Houses are a group of 5 self-catering houses and cottages set round Pekes Manor, a charming 550 year old Tudor House, all in a very large garden with its own park & with superb views across the East Sussex countryside in SE England, within 10 miles of the sea. Pekes Manor House is a comfortable full-facility characterful house, featuring a very large dining room with seating up to 28 places, a TV room, a large 16th century kitchen with an Aga, 9 bedroom on 2 floors, a games room, a Jacuzzi and Sauna, a very large garden and use of Pekes facilities such an our indoor swimming pool, tennis court, etc.

Idyllic perfection, living in a 15th century manor. No one wanted to leave.
We hosted a family and friends party for 50 (renting the Oast, Wing and Garden Cottage as well as the Manor). We catered for ourselves in the most magnificent kitchen and dining room. We used the Wing as the dance floor and managed to arrange trestle tables in the dining room to seat 54. We easily accommodated other guests at the Travelodge and Boship hotel. We walked to the local pub, had a ceilidh on Saturday night and a table top puzzle room on the Sunday morning. We made use of as many of the facilities as time and weather would allow. We walked to the wonderful traditional 6 Bells pub at Chiddingly. The swimming pool was enjoyed by us all. It's warm and wonderful as not chlorinated and the ambience with plants all around
This was the most wonderful venue you could ever find and some of the properties are dog-friendly too.
There are romantic authentically old bedrooms, furnished with charming antiques. Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were, even the pull down double in the Wing! There's a massive kitchen fireplace and a huge kitchen table for eating or buffet, an oak paneled dining room and hall.
You have to see this place and live in it to experience its magic, None of the photos do it justice.

Distinctively Different!
We had the most perfect weekend in a truly magnificent house and phenomenal grounds. 20 family members from age 1 to 71 loved every moment of our weekend together. Enjoying meals around the phenomenal grand table. Playing in the swimming pool for hours which was so warm. Volleyball on the lawn.
We were even checked in on to see that everything was okay. We will be back, the tag line to Pekes Manor we thought summed it up perfectly, distinctively different it certainly is. Truly special, we have fallen in love and will be back soon.

Beautiful outlook and very nice house
We stayed in Mounts View which was a very nice house even if a liitle tired with wonderful views. There were 11 of us in the party and only 1 working shower which was very disappointing.
The children loved the indoor pool but unfortunately due to the high strength of the chlorine or whatever chemical was used the children were all ill with chest, throat and eye problems.
We did however have a wonderful weekend due to the fact that all the family were together

A delightful, lovely old manor house, very comfortable, very well equipped
This was booked for a large group stag weekend ages between 21-63 (mainly 30 year olds). The house is amazing. Everything authentic. There are huge tables so everyone can eat together in either The kitchen or dining room. The beds and quilts are so comfortable. There is a heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna room.
Full size table tennis table, tennis court, cricket equipment, badminton equipment, crochet set all which you can use to play on an extensive rear garden lawn.
Whilst we took part in some great activities around brighton, the general consensus from the stags was that it was the manor house which made the stag weekend great.
If you want to chill and relax or enjoy an active break this will not disappoint

Perfect country house for a family gathering
Pekes Manor fulfilled all our expectations. An amazing experience not to be forgotten. Absolutely everything was thoughtfully provided - spacious historic surroundings inside and out, warmth, comfort and total relaxation. Great heated pool, playground and sauna beautifully kept. Wonderful views. Excellent pub 5 minutes away. In all a great place to enjoy with all the family. Can’t recommend Pekes Manor more highly. Thank you Kildare and his team.

Great venue with charming host
This is the second time we have had a large gathering a Pekes Manor and both experiences were fantastic. The main house manages to be both impressive and homely the same time. It's relaxed atmosphere makes for a really fun place to stay with family and friends. Many thanks again to Kildare and his team.

Great for groups and family occassions
Booked this for my wife as a surprise birthday present and her family. Lots of space and great for groups, plenty of bedrooms and all the facilities you would expect. Will visit again for sure....

A special 50th birthday celebration!
My daughter celebrated her 50th birthday in this beautiful old house! It was a surprise weekend booked by her husband! We were 11 adults and 8 children, age range being 6-83. We had the most wonderful time! An old house but modernised without spoiling the original features in lovely grounds and with walks nearby. Two kitchens with all the equipment we could possibly need. Comfortable beds, all made with fresh white bedding. Very inviting! We lit the log fire one evening, which added to the atmosphere. Plenty for us all to do! Tennis, croquet, etc. and a lovely heated indoor swimming pool, which the 8 children especially enjoyed! I would definitely recommend this house for a special event. Plenty of room for our party of 19! One of the best times we've had together as a family! Everyone enjoyed everything!

Fantastic Stay for University Reunion
A group of 18 of us stayed in Pekes Manor for our 10 year university reunion. The manor, garden and games room were fantastic and we used all the facilities (including the swimming pool and jacuzzi) throughout the weekend.
We loved exploring the house (which is a bit maze like but was great fun to look around!) and found that everywhere was perfectly clean, the beds were comfortable and the heating and aga made the house really cosy for our stay.
Kildare made booking Pekes incredibly easy, and was so helpful in answering all of our questions. We also met other members of the team (including Jilly) who were very helpful on arrival and throughout the weekend.
We had a fantastic time and would 100% recommend.

Fantastic wedding venue
We booked Pekes manor and some of its surrounding cottages for our wedding this late September, and enjoyed it for a whole weekend. The place is beautiful, outside and inside, clean, well maintained, with spa facilities for adults and a playground for kids, we couldn't have asked for more! The communication with the owners was so easy and they made every effort to ensure we have all our needs met. We couldn't recommend this place enough, hopefully we will come back one day to celebrate our anniversary there.

Kiki and Alex and their large party were a delight to host, and managed to have a wonderful weekend in spite of some awful weather, leaving everything in pretty good order. We're looking forward to their anniversary return!
