My wife and I had the absolute pleasure to stay at Le Petit Capelier for a week in July. The property itself is a historic stone farmhouse situated in a wonderfully quiet location and also has the benefit of a large pool totally undisturbed bliss. The interior design is really very beautiful, the owners have obviously gone to a lot...

My partner and I stayed at Le Petit Capelier whilst on a working trip in Bergerac. We couldn't have picked a better place to unwind and relax. We were only planning to stay for 1 night but we extended our stay to 3. To our delight a selection of local cheese and wines were laid out for our arrival, along...

The surrounding areas give you an opportunity to visit local French Markets, canoe down the river as well as fun days out for the children and if you just want some...

How to get there
Airport: Bergerac: 18.0 km
Railway: Bergerac: 20.0 km
Ferry: Bordeaux: 136.0 km
Booking flights to Bergerac well in advance of your stay here can save a great deal of expense. Recently we've managed to fly from Stanstead for less than £20 each but usually expect to pay around £120 for a return flight. It's essential to have a car and the hire deals (usually made in association with your flight) are reasonable so expect to pay between £30 and £40 a day for a five-door car. The hire firms (Hertz, Eurocar and Avis) are located directly outside the terminal at Bergerac so it's all very convenient. The drive from the airport takes approximately 15 minutes along a well built, safe road towards the south and we can provide precise co-ordinates for your satellite navigation system should you require it. We can sometimes provide bicycles on request and there a... more
