Holiday Rental House
Lovely 200 year old cottage on the South Downs. Exposed wooden beams. Wooden floors. Two log burning stoves. You'll need to light them if you get cold. Three double beds; two iron and one brass (very high). A lovely garden with a large timber frame undercover area for eating outdoors whilst you look over the fields around you. Fabulous views. Very cosy and snug. Parking. A true sanctuary....Lovely 200 year old cottage on the South Downs. Exposed wooden beams. Wooden floors. Two log burning stoves. Interaction with guests
We like our guests to feel like The Cycle Sanctuary is their own cottage, so we leave you to let yourselves in and let yourselves out (we'll let you know where the key is of course :-) No 'fussy' owners around. Your cottage, for you to enjoy for your stay. We leave you notes and maps for you about the cottage and surrounding area and of course you can easily get hold of us by mobile, text or email if it would be so much quicker if you could just ask a question.

About the neighbourhood
The Cycle Sanctuary is located in the South Downs National Park, on top of the South Downs, 100 metres from the South Downs Way long distance footpath and cycleway. It is set in an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' (AONB). It's a beautiful part of the world. The cottage is in the small village of Beauworth (Pronounced 'Bew-worth') which has just 90 residents. It is the second smallest village in Hampshire with just a church and a 400 year old pub, The Milburys, just 200 metres from the cottage and serving delicious food and beer. When the weather turns cold, the pub has a huge open fire to keep you warm. It also has a cat called Bob, who's clearly eaten too much, a very friendly landlord and a 100 metre (300 feet) deep well. The well is amazing. The cottage is surrounded by open co...
Getting around
If you see a bus go past the cottage, you're not staying in the right place. You really really do need your own transport. Bicycle, motorbike, car, motorhome, will all work well. You could get a taxi to the cottage from Southampton Airport or from Winchester Train Station. Have your food delivered by on-line shopping and just walk on all the beautiful trails around us. The South Downs Way. The Wayfarers Walk. The Monarchs Way and many many walking paths.
