Great in all weathers
Very clean, comfortable and good sized beds. Great views over the Roaches. Plenty of space for a large group round a table for dining and on sofas for lounging. Well equipped.

A brilliant venue for our family gathering!
The Mermaid was an ideal location for our large family gathering (27) for a week together after a wedding. There was plenty of space for everyone (aged 2 to 77). The rooms with their own ensuite bathrooms were great. Naturally room sizes vary a bit. The living space is excellent with activities in the bar area or chilling in the extensive lounge areas. The kitchen worked well and is near to the enormous dining room with "that view"! The whole place was very clean and orderly when we arrived. Beds were very conformable. And the owner could not have been more helpful - thanks Pete! Hope we get to go back some time!

Fantastic for family gatherings
This was our third visit and the Mermaid Inn never disappoints. The property is continually well maintained, the bar area is a great meeting place, the lounges are a superb and comfortable break out area and the dining area, with its views, is just so special. A very well appointed kitchen is also in place and the downstairs bedrooms are great for the less mobile. All of our family commented on how clean and well stocked the venue was and we are currently trying to arrange Mermaid 4. In addition to this comms with Pete, Marie Axelle and Mark is great. Well worth a visit!

Stunning views and fantastic pub games!
Absolutely fantastic facilities. The pub with darts and pool is definitely a winner and I love that it is also dog friendly. We had the absolutely best weekend making so many memories. Highly recommend and stunning views over the Peaks.

Well provisioned kitchen, plenty of hot water, great spaces, wonderful views, lots of parking. The large dining table was particularly appreciated

Fantastic
Absolutely fantastic stay at the mermaid inn.
The booking experience was excellent with speedy and helpful email replies.
The house was extremely well equipped with everything we needed.
Karaoke on the last evening was a lot of fun.
The beds were very comfortable and it was very helpful to be able to configure the beds to suit the needs of our group.

New year getaway!
We stayed at the Mermaid inn over New Year 2023, a party of 33, 7 families in total. You couldn't ask for better accommodation! The house catered for everyone, we even had our chilled moments doing puzzles & lazing on the comfy sofas. The pub I have to say was the highlight along with the pool table,darts & karaoke. Everything was thought of in the house & felt very homely & cozy. The dining table was perfect, sat everyone from bingo evenings to a full on 4 meat carvery on new years day! Was a bit like school dinners at times! The Mermaid was perfect in every way! We had this booked 22months in order to get the date & Pete liased & keep us informed through out the whole process. Would definitely return again x

Fabulous family Christmas at the Mermaid
Fabulous house for a large family gathering. Really loved the spacious lounge areas and the bar was really fun. Kitchen was well stocked and all of the bedrooms were a good size and comfortable. As for the dining room - it was the best ever with plenty of room and an amazing view!
Would definitely recommend.
