On arrival, the cabin was clean and cosy. All beds were made up with fresh linen and there were plenty of towels for us all. The cabin accepts dogs but there was no obvious sign that animals had been there. There was a new pint of milk in the fridge with coffee, tea and biscuits to welcome us. Infact, the cabin was very well equipped. It was in a quiet location and just a couple of minutes drive to the friendly local village where we bought our groceries and where there was a useful post office and a pub which served lovely food. We found interesting places to visit within a short drive, such as Bude, Bideford, Clovelly and Hartland quay. For children, the Big Sheep was great. We had a great week despite some rain and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The only thing to perhaps note is that there are steep steps down to the front door which may not be suitable for everyone, though my mother (who is in her seventies) had no problem with them.
