Holiday Rental House
This house was completely refurbished in 2016 to produce a lovely comfortable family home with 3 bedrooms, 2 brand new bathrooms and various living spaces. The terrace around the pool is completely private while the dining terrace can just about be seen by 2 neighbours who generally keep their windows closed all summer to keep the heat out! On the first floor there is a kitchen / living / dining area leading onto an outdoor dining terrace plus a comfortable salon with the large flat screen TV, 3 seater couch and two armchairs plus an indoor dining area / games table for 4. The dining terrace has an electric shade awning and outdoor dining table for 6. Steps lead down from the dining terrace to the pool deck and further down to the Moroccan salon, a shady spot under the dining terrace. ...This house was completely refurbished in 2016 to produce a lovely comfortable family home with 3 bedrooms, 2 brand new bathrooms and various living spaces. Upstairs the master bedroom has a very comfortable king sized bed (160X200) & high quality mattress. It has a dressing room and ensuite bathroom with Italian shower and double basins. The second bedroom is also a double and the third bedroom can be set up as a superking sized double bed or two twins. There is also a daybed for extra little guests. (an extra €50 per week per person above 6) Philippe worked for 2 years in Morocco so we got to buy some fabulous pieces - we had the cedarwood bedhead made in Fez, fell in love with the filigree lights and bought several, the artwork in the kitchen, the copper tagine and most noticeably, the blue paint from Chefchaouen. Otherwise the house is a typical french village house with exposed stone walls, wooden beams and patterned floor tiles plus lots of wooden furniture in keeping with the age of the house (IKEA is only allowed in wardrobe areas!) The house is not suitable for little kids as the stairs leading to the pool terrace are open tread and the entry to the pool is a ladder. It's great for older children though and there are separate living areas for kids and adults if that is how you choose to use the space! More

This property is a deceptive from the outside and gives little hint to the 5 star finish on the inside. From the modern designer kitchen to the ultra cool wet room ensuite. The terrace was just perfect for long evening meals as the swifts flew...More

About the neighbourhood
Pouzolles has a small grocers, a great bakery that serves coffee, a bar/restaurant, a newsagents and a few wineries. Nearby Roujan has more restaurants / cafés and a large Super U supermarket plus a pharmacy, petrol station, post office, cash machines etc. Pezenas at 20 minutes away has lots of bars and restaurants, shops and galleries. We have a lake and a river at around 20 minutes' drive and the beaches are around 40 minutes away. There is lots of great information in our guest book.
Getting around
There are so many places to visit in the area - a day out to St Chinian market and the village of Roquebrun with a kayak on the river Orb, a day out to Lac Salagou either renting a sailboat or paddleboards or pedalos and lunch at one of our favourite 'guinguettes', a day out to Pezenas market and all the antique stores, workshops and galleries, a day out to Marseillan port for some seafood and to see how oysters are produced on the Etang de Thau, a guided walk in the vines at Chateau St Pierre de Serjac or Domaine Sarabande, karting, ropes courses in the trees, goats cheese farms, olive domaines and so much more...
