Holiday Rental House
Within easy reach of all amenities, yet private and secluded, this house is in an outstanding position and is on the site of a long established property - probably one of the oldest in this part of Fayence- which is why it is in such a superb spot. You approach by a long driveway, which arrives at a parking near the round fish pond and fountain in front of the house. You immediately are faced with a wonderful view to the North over the villages of Fayence and Mons, with layers of blue hills receding into the distance. In the other direction you can see across to St Paul en Foret and the rocks of the Gorge du Blavet. The house has paved terraces on 3 sides, and the pool is close to the house and easily accessible . In the other direction you can see across to St Paul en Foret and the rocks of the Gorge du Blavet. The house has paved terraces on 3 sides, and the pool is close to the house and easily accessible . There is a shaded terrace outside the kitchen, from where you can look South past the pillars and vines onto the pool. Past the shade of the lime tree you can also see the stone which gives the house it's name - La Pierre Qui Chante. It is now made into a table, and gives a ringing sound when tapped with another stone. The amount of land here protects you from the outside world, and gives children lots of space to explore without them having to leave the property. The land could be described as wooded parkland, and has a variety of indigenous trees, as well as fig and olive trees (which provide us with enough olive oil to last all year). There is also an abundance of wild herbs such as oregano, thyme and rosemary. The therapeutic smell of the pines and lavender, combined with the music of the cicadas and occasional golden oriole during the day, and the tree frogs and scope owl in the evenings, make this a truly magical place. There are interesting walks and stone walls, making it a wonderful spot to walk or do your early morning 'constitutional' before having breakfast on the terrace. To awaken each morning to the stunning views of the mountains lifts the spirits for the rest of the day.More

About the neighbourhood
Good restaurants abound, and there is a delightful variety of shops and markets. Lots to explore in the vicinity and further a-field. There are gorges, rivers and spectacular scenery. Golf: There is now a very prestigious golf course close to us (less than 10mins away). It is the Terre Blanche Golf course and Four seasons resort. There is also the St Andreol Golf Course near Le Muy which is about 25 minutes away. This is a very easy 25 minutes as it is through countryside and vineyards with little traffic. If you need more information on either of these contact us. There are also courses at Mougins and Mandelieu. The weather here in the South of France is the best in France, and enjoys the highest sunshine levels.
How to get there
Cheap flights to Nice airport with Easyjet. Car hire companies at the airport, or locally.
