Hannaford's Quay is a luxury two bedroom waterside cottage situated in the centre of Topsham on Hannaford's quayside only ten feet from the waterside. The cottage faces South West with marvellous views over the estuary and is within a five minute walk of shops, cafes, bars and all amenities in the town including: restaurants, bar, shops, antiques market, outdoor heated swimming pool, tennis courts, bowling green, railway station, and ferries. There are marvelous walks and cycle paths nearby, including the newly opened estuary cycle path to Exmouth, with its beaches and the start of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. The estuary is famous for its migratory birds particularly during the winter, many of which can be spotted from the comfort of the cottage balcony.

Topsham is a really great place, full of interesting things to do, and places to go, and this house is a perfect base. One thing to note is that it has parking on site, which is important in Topsham

We stayed at this lovely house for the last week in September. What a delightful clean, well equipped and charming three storey cottage. Balcony views from the second stage, allowed sublime views of sunsets over the River Exe and oppositie foreshore and stunning countryside. About the neighbourhood
Topsham town, as its name suggests is the topmost town on the Exe estuary and was originally the commercial port for Exeter with strong connections with the Netherlands, which is reflected in some of its architecture.

The town is now predominantly a pleasure sailing port, famous for its many pubs and restaurants, and an antiques centre, all within easy walking distance of Hannford's Quay.

There are many facilities in the town: bowling green, during the summer a heated outdoor swimming pool (open early mornings for ‘The Nutters Club), tennis courts, a recreational ground with children's playground and skateboard park. The cottage is on the quayside in Topsham only ten feet from the waterside. Topsham is a small historic port at the top of the Exe estuary, just four miles from the centre of the cathedral city of Exeter. Topsham is very easy to get to: by car, it is 5 minutes from the M5 motorway; by rail, there is a branch line from Exeter St David's mainline railway station - a 15 minute journey with trains running every 30 minutes; by air, Topsham is seven miles from Exeter international airport, a 10 minute car journey.
