Having stayed here before we knew what to expect but you do forget how peaceful and comfortable the accommodation is. The hardest part of the holiday is leaving but this is cushioned by knowing that we will return next year. Though we stayed 2 weeks we did not manage to fit in all the places that we would have liked...

cosy riverside cottage with lovely views in every direction you look,great outdoor area excellent evening fishing,(even has an outdoor loo in small shed!)grab Paul the river taxi guy to take you and your luggage to the cottage.(usually find him near potter bridge).tree house in garden for kids to use as a pirate lookout.warm,well appointed and tranquil chuck 5 or 6...

Good sized sitting room with leather three piece suite, TV/DVD player, log burner effect electric fire, large doors opening onto garden and river. The kitchen is well equipped, with large fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. It adjoins the dining area which faces the river. There is one double and one twin bedroom, both with river views. Duvets and bed linen are supplied. There is a good sized family bathroom with corner bath and shower over. Towels are provided, but bring your own for the beach.
A selection of books, maps and travel guides are provided.

About the neighbourhood
Potter Heigham is one of the major boating centres on the Norfolk Broads, with many boating holidays or day trips starting from here. The medieval bridge gives access to the Upper Thurne, Hickling Broad and Horsey Mere, but only for smaller craft; larger boats, if they can get through at all, have to wait for low tide and seek the help of a bridge pilot! This makes the upper reaches beyond the bridge, where the Little House is situated, quieter than some parts of the river.

The Broadshaven Tavern is situated near the medieval bridge, with its garden overlooking the river. There is another pub called the Falgate on the road to Ludham. There are two cafes where you can sit outside in the summer, a fish and chip shop, a takeaway and a gift shop/newsagent. To many, shopping in Potter Heigh...
