We loved our week at Miss P's Place. Christine and Faylyn (sp?) were wonderfully attentive. We had delicious food, including saltfish and ackee for breakfast one morning, shrimp rundown. A farm truck brought fresh produce to the house, and a local fisherman brought by a catch of fresh lobsters, which we had with garlic butter, limes and Red Stripes.
The house was charming and nicely outfitted, with a family cottage feel.
We are not a fan of the crowded all-inclusive resort type vacation, and this was perfect for us. The beach was gorgeous Caribbean waters with a small reef that was perfect for the kids to snorkle (5 - 12 feet depth) about 40 meters from shore. Not at all crowded, on the busiest day we may have shared the beach with 12 other people.
After a few hours of swimming and sunbathing, we would head back for a swim in the pool and hour of reading on the deck before a great dinner served by Christine and Faylyn.
The air temp was 75-78 during the day...
