This is all you need for a break away. Home from home. Log burner, lovely sitting area. Bed is super comfy! Very clean and well kept cottage and very close to Pocklington's pubs, restaurants and shops. Would recommend to family and friends.Host Helen was friendly and very helpful.

The cottage is beautiful - cozy and comfortable but with modern amenities. I hit a cold spell during my stay but the cottage was always warm - I loved the underfloor heating downstairs. The medieval walled city of YORK is a 13 mile drive West of Pocklington. With its famous Minster, castle, museums and the beautifully preserved half timbered buildings of the Shambles, York is a fabulous day out - and, as our guests have found, the cottage is a lovely place to return to after a day of sightseeing.<BR><BR>Travelling East and North from Pocklington, you will encounter typical East Riding market towns and villages, including the historic County town of Beverley with its own Minster and two market squares. Heading towards the east coast, you may like to visit the village of Burton Agnes with its beautiful Hall and gardens. On the coast itself there are the famous fishing and resort towns of Bridlington, Filey, Scarborough and Whitby.<BR>
