Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.

Home from Home with a little more
What a place to stay, the view, the location, the funky LED lights Larksong has it all. It’s like home from home with a bit more. The bungalow was immaculate, comfortable and well presented. Wonderful coastal walks on the doorstep and all the other beautiful places North Norfolk has to offer. We had the most wonderful time here and certainly will be back

Larksong happy
Best holiday cottage we've stayed at, so quiet you can hear the sea which is 800 yards away, the bungalow is well equipped bright and roomy, the access road is a bit bumpy drive slowly it's not a problem, nice walk along the beach to happisburgh or sea palling.

Quiet few days by the sea in Norfolk
This house is very well maintained, and it is only a short walk to the sea at Eccles. It was immaculately clean and prepared by Sally the friendly owner. There are plenty of things to do in the area, and Norwich is also within easy reach. Eccles is quiet and peaceful, so a good place for a restful break.

So peaceful, with amazing views
We had such a lovely week staying at Larksong. It was so peaceful, with amazing views from the conservatory, and everything we needed was provided in the bungalow. Sally was very welcoming, with a wealth of local knowledge, and provided some lovely treats. We decided to stay a couple of extra days as we loved it so much, and Sally was very accommodating with this. We would definitely return for more lovely walks along the sea, which was only a few minutes away, and would highly recommend Larksong if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life!

Wanted for nothing
What an excellent find Larksong was. Myself, daughter in law and 2 young Grandchildren had a brilliant stay in this lovely accommodation. There was nothing missing from the kitchen in fact it was better equipped than my own! The garden is huge and private and the children enjoyed running round it and also were delighted at the colour changing lights in the conservatory. Beds were very comfortable. We invited local family to join us on a couple of occasions during the day and they had no problem with access and parked at the property. On a Tuesday and Sunday evening the lifeboat team practice a short walk away and gave the children badges and stickers which was an unexpected treat. Would highly recommend.

Just perfect
Sally, the owner, gave us the loveliest and very informative welcome. The bungalow is beautiful, spacious and very homely. It has everything you could possibly need for a holiday and so much more besides, from a really well stocked kitchen and cleaning products to comfy beds and sumptuous bed linen. The uninterrupted views from the bungalow are a real treat and the sunsets are just amazing. The bungalow is the perfect place to explore the local area, there's lots to do and the most peaceful and idyllic place to return to at the end of a busy day. We have already recommended to our friends and family and can't wait to return ourselves.

A Gem
Fantastic location, minutes from the beach. Bungalow really well equipped and comfortable. Ideal place to chill and watch the world go by, albeit at a rather slower pace that I'm used to ! (It is Norfolk after all )

Great views, 3 mins to quiet beach, well equipped and neatly decorated
My partner and I stayed in this Bungalow at Eccles-On-Sea (a small seaside estate near to Happisburgh and Sea Palling) for 4 nights in early May. The property is really well equipped with a modern-looking kitchen, big walk-in shower in the bathroom, with a separate toilet, and also 2 smartly decorated bedrooms. The beds were super comfy, and the estate the bungalow resides on is quiet which makes for a really relaxing stay day and night. The property was clean and tidy, and the dining room had just been redecorated just before our stay. The weather wasn't on our side for our short break, but the big conservatory at the front of the bungalow gave us great views across the open fields towards Happisburgh lighthouse, and meant we could easily spot a gap in the rain to quickly get out for a walk down to the beach. There is an access ramp to the beach only a 3 minute walk away, and from there you can walk left towards Happisburgh or right to reach Sea Palling. From those villages you can return via the beach or cliff-top walks, or along the quiet lanes spotting other quaint bungalows along the way. We received recommendations from the Sally, the owner, to visit the Old Vicarage Gardens, which is a only short drive away - definitely a place to see on a sunny day! The roads around the estate are all privately maintained, which means mostly gravel tracks with a few bumps and dips, but Sally gave us the 'best' route through to the property to avoid any bad bits, and our car was easily able to get in and out - sometimes several times a day - so absolutely nothing to worry about there.

idyllic coastal location
Larksong is a charming beach side cottage with a wonderful and uninterrupted view across open fields to Happisburg lighthouse. The cottage was spotlessly clean and felt fresh and airy with the felling of a much loved family retreat. The owner Sally is very welcoming and friendly and left us with milk, strawberries, cream, croissant, tea and coffee, all of which much appreciated. This really is a perfect location with the beautiful sandy beach only a couple of minutes walk from the cottage. We both had a great stay and if we could would have stayed much longer.

Larksong Review
This is the perfect place for a quiet coastal getaway. Larksong is just a stone’s throw from the huge sandy beach, and has amazing views towards Happisburgh lighthouse. The bungalow was clean and comfortable, and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Would definitely recommend this place.

How to get there
Access from the South via A11, then on the A47 (towards Great Yarmouth), then onto the new (NNDR/Broadland Northway) A1270 road, onto the A1151 through Wroxham. The A1151 becomes the A149 just south of Wayford. Continue on this road towards Stalham then take the left hand turn at Tesco, left again then right at the double mini roundabout onto Ingham Road. Continue straight along this road until you reach The Ingham Swan thatched pub, bear left then turn left towards Lessingham and Ingham Corner. Keep on this road until you reach the T junction marked left to Lessingham/Happisburgh (Sea Palling right), turn left here. In Lessingham take the right turning marked Hempstead/Eccles into Heath Road. Take the next left into Church Lane (leading to Bush Estate). Head straight for the coast now, keep straight on Church Lane over the small crossroads (unmade roads from here) and turn left onto Abbots Way, then second left into Hedgehog Walk. Go right onto Cross Lane then to the end of this unmade track and around the bend into Seaside Lane, Larksong is the second bungalow on the right.
