“La Margoy” was originally an old farm dating from the 17th century with the new additions added in 1857. The farmhouse and Grange have been lovingly restored using only local highly skilled artisans, so that the Grange now provides high quality holiday accommodation in this unique and picturesque setting.<BR>The property sits in 2 hectares of land situated in the north of the Aveyron close to its border with the Cantal, an area famous for its excellent cheese and also the home of “Volcans D'Auvergne” national park. It's a shame there are only five stars available. This was the most stunning gite we have stayed in in the last 17 years of visiting France. The Gite was on the most stunning location and was supremely well equipped. The owners were the most gracious hosts. This was the most fabulous holiday.

Year after year we return to La Margoy because of the quality of the accommodation and the marvelous reception we receive from the owners. The Grange has comfort and practicality for any number of guests, up to 6. We have stayed with babies, children, teenagers and adults, all have loved it. Care must be taken with the very young as there are steps to the pool, but there are two private terraces for dining or enjoying a drink and from the balconies of the salon and main bedroom a view that you will remember for ever. The photos show the distinctive design of the house overlooking the fabulous pool around which you can bask in the sun or laze in the shade. Around you is the north Aveyron and the south Cantal with history, wildlife, walks, markets, artisan craft, and picturesque towns and villages to enchant you. This is la France province and I am almost reluctant to share our gem of a base within it.
