Ca'Amadi overlooks a very quiet and private Corte (with its 15th century well), yet is only minutes from the bustling Rialto Bridge and the Market. St Mark’s square is about 10 easy minutes away on foot.

The apartment sleeps 2 -4 adults (plus sofa bed) comfortably and is available throughout the year for a minimum of 3 nights. It is an ideal base for weekend or short breaks.

Although popular throughout the year, we particularly recommend visits in the quieter months of February, March and November.

“In the winter, Venice is like an abandoned theatre. The play is finished, but the echoes remain”.

We recently enjoyed a four night stay in this quiet, well equipped apartment situated in an ideal central location. We were met by Marco at The Rialto Bridge on our arrival from the airport by water taxi. He escorted us on the short walk to the apartment where he explained how everything worked and gave us advice on how to...

We return to the apartment time and time again as it is in an ideal location to visit the sites of Venice. The layout of the apartment is well suited to two couples or a family, with space to spread out over the two floors. The kitchen is well equipped to cook the heavenly fresh food from the Rialto market...

About the neighbourhood
Venice – La Serenissima - the most magical city on earth………….We have made frequent visits to Venice for over 20 years and have produced for our guests a personal guide to the city, listing our favourite places to visit, eat and shop. From the busy Campo San Bartolomeo, a street leads north towards the Church of San Giovanni Crisostomo, off which is the square of the Teatro Malibran, one of the city’s major venue for classical concerts. The Corte Ca’Amadi lies just to one side. Nearby is the house where Marco Polo lived.Being on the edges of the sestieri of Cannaregio, Castello and San Marco, it is extremely convenient for the city’s main attractions, all of which are in easy walking distance. Equally, the quieter residential areas, with shops, bars and restaurants can easily be found clo... more
Getting around
Vaporetto (Water Bus)

The system is quite easy once you get used to it. Tickets can be bought at Rialto (our nearest stop) or other main stops, and can be for 1, 12, 24, or 72 hours; the latter passes cover all routes (including the Islands). Don’t bother with the expensive and complicated Venice (or Hellovenezia) Cards.

Two main routes serve Rialto – No 1 (slow) and No 2 (faster). All routes operate on a reliable 10 minute cycle during the day, (20 mins. at night); make sure the vaporetto is pointing in the right direction! No 1 goes on over to the Lido.
