Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful gite, great facilities, in a fantastic location
Great gite in a fantastic location. Owners were really friendly and always on hand when we needed them. Huge garden, the pool is amazing, and we loved the outside kitchen, hardly used the one inside. The local village is a short walk and has a great bakery for bread etc, supermarkets only a 10 minute drive away. Lots of nice local walks if you fancy them and plenty to see an do in the area. Really enjoyed the 2 weeks we spent at Le Gite Peyre St Front and would happily return.

Idyllic, tranquil setting
We spent an extremely enjoyable week here with three generations - grandparents, parents and three teenage children. There was plenty of space for all of us to spend time together or to have a bit of time on our own when needed. The accommodation is delightful with a very authentic "French feel". The beds were all very comfortable and the gite is very well equipped with everything you would need for a holiday stay. The children certainly spent plenty of time in the pool which gave the older generation time to relax on the terrace with a nice glass of wine (or two!) - all well deserved after a day of exploring the area which has plenty to offer all age groups. The owners were very helpful and friendly and we would highly recommend this house to groups of couples and families staying in the Dordogne.

Fabulous holiday!
Second time visiting this fabulous gite. We had a lovely week enjoying the area and staying in this gorgeous house. Everything has been thought of and Nick and Sarah can't do enough to make you welcome. The house is beautifully furnished with a great deal of charm. The outside space and pool is great for afternoons and BBQ's, the kids loved the space to run free. The Dordogne is full of beautiful chateaux's and interesting towns. We will definitely return again!

Lovely, relaxing holiday location
We stayed here in August and had a great holiday. We holiday in France every year and this is one of the nicest places we've stayed at. The gite was well equipped, comfortable and clean, containing everything we needed but the best part for us was the summer kitchen area, bbq and pool areas. Unlike previous holidays we were really happy to spend all day at the gite instead of going out every day. There are however many interesting places to visit within the area including Brantome. We must also mention our excellent hosts. Sarah, Nic and Antonia who were very friendly and helpful giving us advice on places to visit and the local wine!

Fabulous holiday
Beautifully decorated house with everything you could need, the outside kitchen is just lovely, especially to enjoy with a glass of wine while watching the sun go down. The area has lots on offer and we could have stayed longer, the pool was perfect size and much nicer with the Saline system, the only thing I would change is to have built in steps into the pool rather than a ladder but we have 3 young children so only really an issue for that reason. The owners are lovely, helpful and always on hand to offer help, advice and some local wine tips!

Absolutely fabulous
What a tremendous week we had! The holiday was better than we could ever had hoped for, from the moment we arrived, and we were met by Sara, to the moment we left. The gite was gorgeous, very nicely decorated, to the outside were the BBQ and the pool area were always in use!!! Stunning countryside with beautiful towns nearby ( Perigeux and Brantome) . See you next year !

Can't wait to go back
Have just come back from a wonderful stay at Le Gite Petre St Front, this has been one of the best holidays I have ever had and I have done a bit of travelling. The Gite was immaculate with everything you could possibly need provided. The view from the pool and bbq area was beautiful, we were outside for most of our stay making full use of the well equipped outside kitchen. It was just a short stroll into a pretty village which had a bakery chemist, butcher small shop, a bar and restaurant. We were in easy reach of lovely towns in the surrounding area which were stunning. We were sad to have to leave but will definitely be returning, the sooner the better. If you want a totally relaxing fantastic holiday you will not go far wrong with a visit here.

Breathtaking hidden little gem!!
Beautiful scenery driving down & then drive through the unbelievably clean & pretty village where we bought scrumptious fresh bread every morning. Perfect accommodation, spotless & beautifully decorated in keeping with the French style of the house. We had an amazing time here, swimming pool, room for kids to run around, river to paddle in! I cannot praise the hosts, Sarah, Nic & Antonia enough, they made our stay perfect. I can't recommend this holiday highly enough!
