brilliantly equiped, close to beach, perfect for families or couples alike
Excellent new cottage at the edge of a quality developement in Camber .The view of marsh land from the garden is idyllic and the entertainment of rabbits and sheep is great for kids. The garden is very clean and beautifully equiped with high quality gas barbeque not to forget the bikes/beach shelter/windbreak in the shed for your use. washing line and pegs were invaluable too. It really is only a short walk to the beach...(we did it with loaded pushchair in 10 mins). There is a short cut for those without toddler! directions have been helpfully left for this.Apart from the beach, it is only a short car ride to Rye. On arrival the key instructions worked perfectly and it was great to step into a super clean house with plenty of storage for coats bags and shoes. It`s an understatement to say the cottage is well equiped. Under the stairs was hoover,iron/board,cooler bag, umbrella, travel cot and lots more. This continued in the kitchen which had every utensil ,pan, baking tray, plastic lunchbox, crockery etc you can think of....... and FLASK!It was a nice touch to leave enough washing stuff for a couple of washes in the washer/dryer and dishwasher. The T.V. DVD,Wii,ipod dock was more useful to have than we expected.Even better was to find instructions for ALL gadgets and appliances neatly stored in a ring binder. Upstairs the beds were comfy.inparticular the memory foam on the single beds.(from this room you get a view of marshland and sheep). Again,T.V.s and hairdryers in both rooms were great. Lots of storage in the bathroom with a quality shower over the bath.Downstairs toilet was very handy. We did use heating as there was one day of bad weather and it worked very efficiently as you`d expect in a new build. Overall, we felt this cottage was easy to use and stood out from the rest due to the thought put into its presentation by the owners. We very much appreciated the extra effort made here, due to the cottage being run by the owners directly. They could`nt have been more helpful and easy to deal with. We can highly reccomend this cottage! For supplies, the nearby Salt Farm Shop was a must. M. Skelton

Perfect!
This is a wonderful holiday rental, we stayed for a weekend in November and we have never stayed in such a lovely holiday cottage, every detail has been thought through, the fridge was stocked with milk, eggs and butter and there was sugar, tea and fresh coffee just to name a few things, which was so appreciated as we only stayed for a couple of nights. The house has lovely views of the marsh and sheep grazing and its short walk to the beach, our son (3 years old) loved the "holiday home" and had to be persuaded to leave - we will definitely be returning and highly recommend it.

Didn't want to come home!
I wanted to get away with my family and enjoy a few days break where we didn't have to worry about anything and just enjoy ourselves, and we are so pleased we chose to stay at Marsh View Cottage. The owners have thought of everything. We wanted for nothing. They have put so much effort into catering to everyone's needs. From dressing gowns, toiletries and a welcoming bottle of wine to stair gates and a high chair for my toddler. It's like being at home but without the stress of everyday life. We will definitely be visiting again - in fact we are trying to organise another week there later in the year. It's in such a lovely location, surrounded by beautiful historical villages, there's so much to see and do. And there is a large selection of information leaflets provided for ideas of where to go and what to do. Our toddler particularly loved the sheep which come right up to the fence at the back of the garden. We thoroughly recommend this holiday cottage for families and couples alike.

Great place to stay
Very well equipped quality compact house within 10 minutes walk to dunes and beach. Dining/lounge area small - foldaway table for dining which was not particularly stable when open. This was the only downside. Small well tended garden at rear. Lovely house on a very nice development, with great views over the salt marsh. The welcome pack was excellent. Would recommend this accommodation. It also had good wi-fi connection. Lots of places of historic interest around to visit. Local beach has dog friendly area all year round as well as a dog free area. The beach was about 2 miles of flat, golden sand. Would recommend The Green Owl pub and, along the same road (Old Lydd Road), the beach cafe - both very friendly with good food and excellent service.

Thank you very much for such a good review. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay at our cottage. We are sorry to hear you found the dining table a little unstable though. We have been to the cottage to check this & it would seem the adjustable levellers on the feet may have been altered by someone & just needed some minor readjustment & all is now fine. Thank you very much for bringing this to our attention.

Excellant beach retreat
Marsh view cottage has EVERYTHING you will need for your seaside holiday. The owners have taken care to present a homely welcoming cottage and equipped it so well you will hardly need to bring much more than your clothes! Adult bikes in the shed, wind breaks, picnic rugs and bag and games for the beach. Well equipped kitchen and carefully selected welcome pack. This has been one of our best holiday cottage stays. Not much more than the beach in Camber but surrounding area full of historic interest. A lovely base for your visit to the area.

A beautiful home in a stunning part of the country.
We often visit camber and rye, a few times a year, the area is really special, and offers a wonderful beach in camber any time of year, and Rye is a stunning town, full of good restaurants and fascinating shops and historical places. If you really want a special homely stay in real comfortable and perfectly equiped place, this place has it all. We only stayed 2 nights and we had the most perfect walk on the beach watching the sun go down on the first evening, Marsh view have everything needed for the beach, we had something to take to sit on, and a flask full of tea, which made it a lovely evening. The cottage has a good sized tv and its really comfortable for a nice evening in, the kitchen has everything needed for cooking anything you fancy, and the lovely garden offers everything you need to sit outside and enjoy the stunning surroundings. Salts farm shop nearby sells some amazing local produce if you wanted to stay in, rye also has some lovely food shops. The bathroom here is wonderful, and the fluffy gowns, slippers and smellies are a lovely treat, the welcome pack is also a nice suprise, we even had lovely treats for the dogs who LOVED the holiday! The area is very quiet, that combined with sea air and the comfortable bed results in a wonderful nights sleep! We also loved the fact that the cottage had cycles, the cycle routes are excellent, and rye is just a short ride away. This cottage is perfect for friends, families with children, and couples, its a little slice of peace and quiet, you really couldnt find a single fault at Marsh View, its perfect in every way.

Excellent cottage in a great location for the beach
A well presented cottage where every little detail has been carefully thought about. The owners provide many additional comforts to make the stay enjoyable. Each time we opened another cupboard or drawer, we found all the things we needed to enjoy our stay. Everything has been provided, from picnic blankets and cool bags, to kitchen accessories and bathroom toiletries. The only negative we could think of, was the rear garden is North facing and gets no sun. However, with a beautiful beach so close, this is not an issue. The cottage is bright, modern and nicely furnished.

Thank you for your review. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay. We do try hard to make sure our guests stay is comfortable and enjoyable. The garden is north-east facing and in the summer months actually gets full sun for the first half of the day. Guests have enjoyed very sunny breakfasts on the decking as well as long lazy barbecues at other times of day where they have enjoyed the views across the sheep studded marsh .Being partially east facing, the sunrises across the marsh can be spectacular. This also gives us the added benefit of our south-west facing lounge always being light and bright too with some wonderful sunsets to see! As you also rightly point out, we are so close to the stunning beach too.

A great base for exploring the area
The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay in a beautiful part of the country. The additional touches to compliment your stay are fantastic and for us that included a Halloween bucket for our daughter as we stayed during that week. That made her holiday! Its location is great both for visiting the beautiful beach at nearby Camber Sands or going to the historical sites of Rye, Hastings, or beyond.

Marsh View.....great place to stay!
Just back from a lovely mini break staying at Marsh View Cottage with our dog! We loved the cottage, everything has been thought about carefully to make this place special. We loved the walks on the beach and of course Rye. What made this even more special were the little extra touches arranged through the owners.....welcome basket was really lovely and helped make the stay :-) Lastly, Tony and Sue have been nothing short of fabulous, from my initial enquiry through to the stay.....easy and prompt communication, nothing seemed too much to ask. Thank you very much!

Second visit and even better than the first (if that was possible!)
This was our second stay at Marsh View Cottage and we loved it even more! It is like a second home with the luxury of hotel facilities, everything you could ever want or need is there. We have taken our two dogs both times and they love it, especially the long walks on the nearby beaches (even when the weather is awful). The welcome hamper was amazing and the fluffy white towels, bath robes, slippers etc are of a hotel quality and very welcome addition. Also the owners are such lovely people and couldn't do anymore in making your stay a brilliant one. Highly recommend anyone to stay here and will definitely be returning again.
