Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.

A cosy week in Marsh View Cottage
My mum and I (along with Hattie the Jack Russell) had a lovely week in Marsh View Cottage. Everywhere was spotlessly clean with everything (and more) provided that we could possibly need. The hamper was a really lovely touch. Despite storm Ciaran going on all around us, we were very cosy! Stunning views of the marsh and a lovely location. We would definitely recommend to others.

Perfect - a lovely cottage by the sea
This holiday cottage is lovely, in a perfect location with sheep on your back doorstep and the beach just a few minutes walk away. It is presented beautifully, immaculate and every need thought of, including your own driveway which is so handy. It feels cosy and safe and as well as the beach you can walk to, you are also only a short drive from Rye, Rye Harbour Reserve and other places which are stunning. if you are there in summer season and you have dogs then the beach just down the road is dog friendly and quieter too. It really does offer everything. Amazing place to stay, I totally loved it.

Enchanting stay at Marsh View Cottage
If you are searching for a gorgeous home with every comfort imaginable then Marsh View Cottage is certainly for you. Not only is the location amazing for the stunning dunes and beach at Camber Sands, it also serves as a perfect base for visiting historic Rye and many of East Sussex’s attractions. Tony and Sue were excellent communicators who always responded quickly to all enquiries. They also gave comprehensive details about all aspects of the cottage, and heaps of suggestions for the local area and eateries that proved to be really useful; in particular the Salt Farm Shop was invaluable, hot chocolate at Knoops was unbeatable and we had the most delicious meal at the Owl Pub too. We spent a fabulous weekend at the cottage which as its name suggests, is perched on the edge of the marsh with lovely peaceful vistas and of course home to the free roaming sheep, whom we miss already!!! Marsh View is so welcoming and beautifully appointed providing absolutely everything you may need and some additional lovely surprises too, including a divine welcome hamper, bathrobes and toiletries. Tony and Sue obviously take great pride in their home and really do offer an exceptional experience. We felt very grateful to be able to enjoy their space and be recipients of their hospitality. Would recommend in a heartbeat and fully intend to visit again soon.

Marsh view cottage a little gem!
The cottage is spotlessly clean in a lovely location with covid measures to utmost extent. The welcome hamper was amazing and the cottage was well equipped with everything you could need. Loved watching the sheep on the marsh and walking on the nearby Camber beach. Nearby walkable pub the Owl also had great food and ambience. Rye is lovely and the harbour beautiful. Love the area and would definitely recommend Marsh view for a relaxing break.

Great stay
Just returned from Marsh view cottage what a gem of a find couldn’t fault a single thing. The view from the kitchen window was glorious. Just a short walk from the beach and the town of Rye. Tony and Sue had left a lovely welcome pack and had thought of everything a holidaymaker would need. Would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to friends and family.

A gem
We have just arrived back from spending a weekend at this beautiful cottage. The quality of everything in this cottage is superb and there is every home comfort you could wish for. High quality bed linen and super soft towels which smell divine all enhanced the experience we had in this gem of a cottage. Ollie, the dog, had a super time on the lovely sandy beach and it was great having a high quality place to stay which also welcomed him. Will be booking again.

Mrs
We were recommended marsh view by a friend as we needed accommodation suitable for a 8 month puppy on our first family holiday with my 8yr and 15yr children.....it didn’t disappoint! Spotlessly clean with extra precautions taken because of covid, well equipped with everything you could possibly need and perfect location for the beach and Rye. For the dog: Enclosed garden with a utility area for feeding and a 5 min walk to the dog friendly stretch of beach...he had a brilliant time. For the kids: sun, sea, sand. Some amazing walks in Rye Harbour, crazy golf in Hastings and lovely shops and restaurants in Rye. For the parents: A happy family Special mention to the owl which is a 5 min walk from the cottage as the food was amazing and dog friendly and also Marino’s fish bar and oriental delight....yum. The owners of the cottage were informative and obviously experienced and I won’t hesitate to go back again.
