Together with beautiful views across castle lawns and further on to the local village of St Jean - St Germain where there is a river with waterfalls. Recently updated and refreshed, the château is in excellent condition with many period pieces of furniture from the 19th century. Many of our previous guests commented on a wonderful atmosphere how charming Mon-Félix is in its nature. We also have WiFi throughout.

Authentic French country experience
Driving up the driveway to the chateau you see exactly what you see in the pictures. A group of ten stayed here for a week in May. We each had our own large and comfortable bedroom with separate bathrooms. Kitchen and dining facilities were more than adequate and we used them frequently. I would advise having a catered meal by Annick. It was delicious, abundant and reasonably priced. The weather was unseasonably unpleasant that week so we trekked around the area by car to see the numerous chateaux and wineries. There is a small town near the chateau that has several good restaurants and numerous places to obtain food. We were disappointed the weather did not allow us the pleasure of using the pool. The owner was inviting and most helpful in providing guidance about the area. Actually, I would have liked to have spent more time with her! I would recommend this place if you want to enjoy a rural French vacation.

Locally there is lots of things to do. From pony trekking through the Loches forest or take a micro-light flight tour of the area just outside of Loches. There are walks, cycling and golf nearby to the property. Also there is a small river with waterfalls within 1km if you get bored of the pool!
