The cabins are so relaxing and in beautiful surroundings. Everything is provided for you, you hardly need to pack a thing apart from clothes and enough food and drink to last you. They even provide coffee and biscuits. We loved our 2nd stay and are already looking forward to our third visit.

The lodge is absolutely stunning. So cozy and homely and has a very warm comfortable feeling from the moment you enter. It is packed with all the amenities to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The hot tub was amazing and the sauna was a nice little extra that we haven't experienced in other lodges. The beds were also...

We stayed here over new year, first of all it is excellent value for money! It has everything you need for a relaxing break away, there isn't any mobile phone signal but wifi is provided in the lodge which was very good quality. The hot tub was perfect, kept its temperature even on the coldest of nights. The lodge was...

Note: In case Milkwood is showing as booked, I have two other lodges. Wnion Wood for 2 to 4 people and the really romantic and very special Milkwood Bach for 2 to 3 people. Search by home ID 147796 and home ID 227079 at the top of the page.

I need to know the party size, children's age, dogs' breed & age, plus any other details I should know in advance. We need to know about babies for cots, but note it is not necessary to add babies to number in a party as long as they sleep in a cot and are less than 1 year old.

Price tables are based on 7-night, 3-night minimum stay, as follows. Prices vary with party size and Periods around the year.

WEEKS – Weekly booking periods are 4PM Friday to 10AM Friday or 4PM Monday to 10AM Monday.

WEEKEND BREAKS (3 Nights) – are 4PM Friday to 10AM Monday.

MIDWEEK BREAKS (3 Nights) – are 4PM Monday to 10AM Thursday, or 4PM Tuesday to 10AM Friday. Priced as per the weekend rate.

About the neighbourhood

Brithdir is a small village; alas, no shops now like many villages, but quiet and unspoiled. It’s like travelling into the past, and is set on a hill side with view of Cadair Idris and the valley below. The foot entrance to the Torrent Walk, also located in Brithdir, is 0.5 Mile from the lodges.

Torrent Walk: One of Britain’s most spectacular riverside paths, The Torrent Walk, is within walking range of the cabin, running alongside the River Clywedog in Brithdir, and is some two-plus miles east of Dolgellau. The omnipresent ferns and mosses carpet the valley in rich emerald green. Massive boulders and tumbling waterfalls suggest the name of this walk. The walk hosts a detour to the ruins of an old iron ore furnace from the early 1700s, and the remains of an old wool mi...
