Cabin Holiday Rental
Please note we are not yet sure when the Welsh Government will lift the Welsh restriction on the holiday industry. We are only taking provisional bookings for the 1st August on, and for the time being, only WITHOUT HOT TUB. Prices will reflect this till Christmas. Please check with us first for dates beyond Christmas, as the Hot Tub situation is unclear. Also note we are implementing a 3 day minimum gap rule between guests, to minimise virus transference risk. In this, we will be more flexible on booking dates than we display. All guests are required to keep the full 2 metre social distancing rule from any other people or neighbouring properties during their booking, even if this rule is relaxed. Please see “Owners notes” at bottom of advert.** Featured in The Guardian’s “Britain’s Top 10 Cutest Log Cabins”, Milk Wood Bach is one of our Dog Friendly Snowdonia retreats with private Hot Tub and indoor Sauna, wood burner and WiFi. This cabin has been uniquely set up for couples for romantic breaks and holidays. This lodge is hidden in a clearing on the edge of the woods on the slopes of the Wnion Valley, within an exclusive small complex of private log cabin homes. Imagine a cosy log cabin with small pond and decking overlooking a stream, sheltered by the woods in an idyllic countryside setting, and stargazing from the warmth of the Hot Tub on a clear night, listening to the rushing stream. Then, relaxing inside by the log fire with a glass of wine (or hot cocoa), and retiring to a comfy bed to dream the night away. Romantic breaks don’t get much better than this, and special family memories, too, after the cosy experience and adventure of Milk Wood Bach. Whether you seek the perfect unwind, or have a birthday, anniversary or just need that special break, Milk Wood Lodges, the location and the wider area is ideal for couples and families, and will cater for your every need. Milk Wood Bach is indeed a home from home experience, with its beautiful, open-plan living room, with big wood burner and large comfy sofas to cuddle up on. This light and airy room leads you through French doors onto the terrace, and leads you into the lovely streamside garden with small pond and decked area overlooking the stream. This cabin of Scandinavian design is built to residential and modern standards, while maintaining that log cabin feel. It is fully heated and there are full-length heavy drapes at the six big windows in the living room, so it’s cosy and warm. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, washer machine and tumble dryer. Opposite is the new sauna room with large sauna, plenty of room for 2 people. The King bedroom, has plenty of wardrobe space, a hairdryer, and radio alarm. There is a small-double sized sofa bed available off the main living room suitable for a teenager or young child. Original artworks by a local artist hang on the walls. This stunning 5-Star cabin has free Wi-Fi, as well as Sony TV & audio equipment for your enjoyment. So, if the weather keeps you in, you can entertain yourselves. The fully fitted kitchen has a double oven cooker, fridge freezer and dishwasher. Or, you can stay cabinside instead, and eat adjacent the warm, cosy wood burner. You can have your breakfast or lunch on the wooden bench/table set in the peaceful garden, or on the deck overlooking the small pond and the stream at the back of the garden, taking in the beautiful sounds of the many wild songbirds inhabiting the woodland view on three sides of the garden behind Milk Wood Bach. NOTE - In case Milkwood Bach is showing as booked, we have two other lodges: Wnion Wood and Milk Wood, each for up to 4 people. (Search by home ID numbers 147796 and 139850 at the top of the page.) These are luxury lodges, each with their own Sauna. Everything is fully inclusive within the price, including all linen & utilities.More

About the neighbourhood
Brithdir Brithdir is a small village; alas, no shops now like many villages, but quiet and unspoiled. It’s like travelling into the past, and is set on a hill side with view of Cadair Idris and the valley below. The foot entrance to the Torrent Walk, also located in Brithdir, is 0.5 Mile from the lodges. Torrent Walk: One of Britain’s most spectacular riverside paths, The Torrent Walk, is within walking range of the cabin, running alongside the River Clywedog in Brithdir, and is some two-plus miles east of Dolgellau. The omnipresent ferns and mosses carpet the valley in rich emerald green. Massive boulders and tumbling waterfalls suggest the name of this walk. The walk hosts a detour to the ruins of an old iron ore furnace from the early 1700s, and the remains of an old wool mi...
