This charming cottage, to the rear of the Manoir back garden, was once the home of the most famous pig in France! Although he was obviously well cosseted, he would definitely not recognise his quarters now.

La Porcherie consists of an open plan kitchen, dining and living area with double doors opening out onto a private terrace and a shared garden. The property has been attractively renovated with one double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a shower room / w.c. A small terrace and garden to the front enjoys the morning sun, while the back of the property benefits from the afternoon / evening sun and views out across the golf course and valley.

The property comes equipped with all of your dining and kitchen requirements, including a dishwasher. Laundry facilities are provided close by.

Set in beautiful location, we spent a very relaxing week staying in the porcherie. the accommodation was very clean as were communal areas. My husband played golf several times. He was able to hire clubs easily and reasonably. It was a short 9 hole course, so worked well with the family.

The staff were welcoming and friendly, always on hand to help out with questions about the area as well as site. There is lots to see and do locally and the staff were happy to offer suggestions. English was widely spoken.

I would have given an excellent rating, but I think that there is room for improvement with the food. Breakfast was sorted with a daily bread delivery, but when we wanted lunch there was only a cheese panini on offer. The restaurant was closed a lot during our stay, which was a challenge given the peaceful location. I also felt the children's options were poor, the chicken nuggets being rather grey. The location and staff could have made this a great restaurant...
