The village of Hook Norton is both vibrant and traditional, the clever mix of thatches complement the honey coloured stone of the cottages with a back drop of breath-taking countryside. The village is well served with a selection of village inn’s and village store, why not try the locally brewed ale or take a tour around the Victorian brewery. For walkers a wealth of well waymarked footpaths that will guide you across the countryside and the smaller hamlets are easily accessible from the village. The village is well placed to explore the Cotswolds villages and larger town and cities to include Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon. For foodies Daylesford farm shop is not to be missed and for a day of sheer luxury there's also Soho Farmhouse. You will be spoilt for choice with many National Trust h... For foodies Daylesford farm shop is not to be missed and for a day of sheer luxury there's also Soho Farmhouse. You will be spoilt for choice with many National Trust homes and gardens to include Chastleton House and Hidecote Gardens. Take in the beauty of this terrace of thatched cottages before you step through the archway to the front door, where you can leave your walking boots behind. Step into the kitchen to the rear of this beautiful cottage, beautifully finished with an Aga,there is a fridge with ice compartment and a selection of cook books to assist the best of cooks. Take a step into the lounge, cosy and perfectly furnished with sofa, and a cosy arm chair both fronting a wood burner that will help set the scene for a romantic evening in. A small table and chairs sit to the side for dining in. When the day is done take the steep cottage style stairs up to the first floor where the character simply continues with exposed wide elm floor boards and mullion windows. There is a double bedroom that enjoys beautiful bed linen and colourful soft furnishings and a bathroom with a shower over bath and WC. Step outside and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening sun,the courtyard garden sits to the rear of the cottage, there is a table and chairs within the courtyard that has been finished with colourful pots and lighting. And for those that may have a little work to do,you'll find an out house with picture window at the end of the courtyard, offering a wooden desk and courtyard views, there is also a built in washing machine and tumble dryer.
