About the neighbourhood
Hiring a bike is a great way to see Cambridge. Cycle to the market or take a day trip along the river. You can also punt along the river to Granchester Meadows. And while you're there, have tea at the Granchester Tea Gardens. Cambridge is full of good restaurants and cafés. Try the Margarita on Bridge Street or the Rice Boat on Queen Street. Catch a show at the Arts Theatre or see what's playing at the Corn Exchange. For a cinema going experience, try the Arts Cinema on Regent Street. Or for something completely different, picnic in the college gardens while watching Shakespheare during the Shakespeare in the Park series - usually in July and August.
How to get there
Just one hour by train from London, or 30 minutes drive from London Stansted airport. Or use the National Express coach from London Heathrow or London Gatwick. Cambridge is very easy to get to, no matter where your journey starts.
