Cottage -
2 Bedrooms , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 4
Chester, Cheshire, England
The cottage has been freshly decorated and carefully furnished to create a comfortable home from home in a quiet residential area convenient for Chester city centre.

It sleeps up to 4 guests in one double and one twin bedroom.

Guests have free access to the cottage wi-fi and exclusive use of the off street parking bay immediately in front of the house.

We offer short breaks from 3 nights and longer stays up to 14 nights. It's unlikely that we would be able to accommodate a longer stay as we use the cottage regularly ourselves.

Our usual changeover days are weekdays, although sometimes we can offer weekend arrival days, particularly outside of the peak holiday season in July and August.

Please note that the TripAdvisor system calculates the prices for holidays automatically and shows the most accurate prices for 3 and 7 night sta...

The living room features a comfortable sofa, armchairs, wooden floor, open fire and digital LCD TV with DVD player.

The dining room is the heart of the cottage. Here you'll find a wide selection of books and DVDs that our guests are welcome to borrow during their holiday. On warm days the French windows can be opened onto the small private yard.

The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering (although Chester has a wealth of places to eat within easy walking distance!).

The cottage is arranged on two floors. Both bedrooms are on the first floor and the bathroom is on a landing near the top of the stairs. The master bedroom is a spacious double. The second bedroom is a comfortable twin room. The bathroom features a bath, separate shower cubicle, basin and W.C.

About the neighbourhood
Chester is a beautiful old English city with a unique walled centre. It’s in North West England on a loop in the river Dee. The city is rich in history from its days as an ancient Roman port to its medieval buildings which give the city centre its uniquely English character. These buildings now house a wealth of shops, cafes and restaurants, making Chester a great place for a weekend city break.

Chester is also home to the UK’s number one zoo, set in award winning gardens and a short drive or bus ride from the city centre.

Baker’s cottage is in an Edwardian terrace in a quiet residential area with a wide mix of housing stock as you might expect in an area convenient to a city centre.
Getting around
The Cross, which is generally accepted as marking Chester city centre, is 0.8 miles which, at average walking speed is about 15 minutes from the house.

Although it is easily walkable, we appreciate that guests may not want to walk after a long day's shopping or late at night and in that case we recommend using one of the reasonably priced and reliable local taxi firms (we provide their phone numbers in the cottage).
